Fantastic Wildlife Experience
We are very satisfied with this 5 day Tanzania safari. I got a chance to see the big five in Tarangire, the vast plains of Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. Accommodations were clean and comfortable and the food was good. The car was 4x4 and the park fee was all included. The first time was no problem. A great package for those who love wildlife. Thank you to the African Overland team!

Awesome experience!
Went on this 5-day mid-range safari by AFRICAN OVERLAND Ltd. From Tarangire to Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater, our guides were amazing. Especially in Serengeti, everyone was impressed by the huge elephant herd and the lion family. Accommodations were very comfortable and the food was excellent. The descent into the Ngorongoro Crater was the most magical. As a first-time safari, you can't expect anything better.

Bush Breakfast & Big Five – A Safari to Remember
Our 5 day safari was very beautiful. The guide to the African Overland was very good and the car was comfortable. On the first day of my visit to Tarangire National Park, I saw many elephants, a herd of elephants roaming under the big baobab trees. I liked it very well. The next day I went to Serengeti and saw zebras, deer, giraffes and lions in the vast fields. I ate Bush Breakfast one morning, surrounded by animals – I'll never forget it. Ngorongoro Crater has seen rhinos, hippos and many birds. The landscape is like a dream. Overall, 5 days went very well. The food was good, the guide always helped. For those who want to go on a safari, I would recommend African Overland.

From Tarangire to Serengeti—an extraordinary marital adventure
As husband and wife, we had a five-day mid-range safari. I was initially fascinated by the huge baobab trees and elephant herds in Tarangire. There is no mention of the Serengeti – I have seen countless groups of zebras, gnoos, lions, cheetahs and giraffes. The guide was impossibly knowledgeable and helpful, telling in detail about each animal. The lodges were clean, comfortable and in nature. The food was also good, especially the bush breakfast. The car was in good condition, the driver drove very carefully. All in all, it was the best adventure of our lives. Tremendous value for money compared to the budget.

A unique combination of nature, adventure and luxury
This 5-day safari in Tanzania with AFRICAN OVERLAND gave us more than we expected. Starting the journey from Arusha on the first day, we encountered one incredible experience after another. The view of the sunset in the endless wilderness of Serengeti National Park was breathtaking. I have seen lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants - everything very closely. We also had the privilege of seeing rhinoceros in Ngorongoro Crater. Our tour planner, Sebastian Kaili, arranged the entire trip with great care. Guide Elias Godwin was knowledgeable, punctual and very cooperative. The car was comfortable, and I enjoyed the wonderful views of nature from each lodge. And we want to go back!

5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti cost?
+
Prices start at $1400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days Mid Range Safari in Tanzania Tarangire and Serengeti start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
