Amazing Tanzania experience
Amazing experience! We just spent a great week with Thom, well above our expectations. Thom is super experienced,, pleasant, knowledgeable, fun! If you go to Tanzania for safari, don’t think twice - so much depends on the quality of your guide and Thom is the best of the best.

Great safari trip! Our only regret is that it was only 1 week :)
We had a great "once in a lifetime" trip with Great Escape Trails, including 1 day Tarangire, 1 day Lake Natron, 3 days Serengeti, 1 day Ngorongoro Crater and 1 day Lake Manyara. We picked this tour after a lot of filtering on safaribookings.com and definitely have no regrets! The pricing was fair and competitive and the program was great. Most importantly, Thom was a very good and pleasant guide! During our trip in Serengeti, 2 other safari vehicles got stuck in the mud, but with Thom this is very unlikely to happen, given his 20+ years of experience. He is a very responsible driver and was also actively helping the other drivers in need. Moreover, he had a lot to tell about the local nature and culture, always with humor. Aside from Thom, we met 2 other guides from Great Escape Trails, who also gave a good impression. The communication for arranging the safari may be somewhat unclear at times. Still, everything will work out fine. Hakuna matata, you will not be scammed. :) Based on our experience, you will have a great holiday!

Best choice for safari and hikes!
We found this company on safaribookings and just picked them out of the others blindly. What an excellent choice! We've been assigned with guide Tom, who was the best guide we could imagine. He knew everything about everything we wondered and asked. He was an excellent driver as well, great to talk to and he made the whole safari experience even better. We feel like we truly got us a new friend. As the safari goes, it was more than we could imagine. We saw almost all the animals we hoped for, saw some of them from a two meter distance and got awesome pictures. We recommend this company to anyone who thinks about safari experience (or hiking experience, as we did Ol Doinyo Lengai hike and 1 day Kilimanjaro hike with them as well and both were superb just as well as safari).

The Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Arusha National Park Safari
What an amazing adventure by Great Escape Trails. We booked our trip to Tanzania through Issa a (salesman) who turned out to be a great help. Issa booked our safari accommodations and gave us the most friendly and expert guide. Lameck as our guide took us to all the Tanzania Northern Circuit Parks for just 5 day in 4 nights. We were lucky to see the Big Five and I was the youngest in our group so far it was a lifetime experience. Thanks to Great Escape Trails.

Flawless Safari
Selecting Great Escape Trails for our safari the best decision because they were not only reasonably priced but Thomas was a wonderful host and put together a flawless 5 days safari with Colly as our guide to Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Everything went smoothly like clockwork from our pick-up from Kilimanjaro Airport to the actual safari experience. We saw all the animals we had hoped for and much more because Colly is such a seasoned guide, an expert in spotting and tracking the animals, he would drive the jeep closely to the wildlife for close encounters giving us all the time we needed to experience the animals. Accommodations were perfect; relaxing, comfortable and great food. I have nothing but praise for Great Escape Trails.

5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater cost?
+
Prices start at $2200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater take?
+
Plan for about 160 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 160-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 160-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
