An unforgettable Tanzania safari - perfectly organised down to the very last detail

We couldn't have asked for a better safari experience than the one Nkollo Tours put together for us. From planning to the very last game drive, everything was seamless. Mercy, who organised our trip, was exceptional from start to finish. Her suggestions and choices of accommodation were spot-on, she replied to every message promptly, and she was endlessly helpful, patiently answering questions well beyond what you'd normally expect from a trip organiser. We particularly want to highlight her recommendation of two Serengeti lodges: Misako Mara Tented Camp, and especially Tokaone Central Serengeti Camp, which were both superb choices we wouldn't have found on our own. Our driver and safari guide, Richard, was simply outstanding. He drove brilliantly, was clearly respectful of the animals and the environment - something we noticed wasn't always the case with other operators' vehicles we saw out there -An unforgettable, thoughtfully organised Tanzania safari and had a real gift for spotting wildlife and getting us away from the crowds whenever he could. He was punctual every single day and kept everything running smoothly. We genuinely couldn't have imagined a better guide. One more thing that deserves real credit: Nkollo's approach to lunches. They served delicious, local food with no plastic or cardboard packaging, which made a noticeable difference compared to other companies we saw on the road — a small thing that says a lot about how seriously they take sustainability. All round, a beautifully organised, sustainable, and genuinely joyful safari. Highly recommend Nkollo Tours, and especially ask for Mercy and Richard.

    Excellent Safari

We decided to go with a local Safari company and it was definitely the right decision. The company was extremely flexible and helpful during organization and also during Safari itself. Our guide jephter was the best. He was able to Show ist the best animal spots in all areas. We SAW lions, lepards, rhinos, Hippos, Giraffen, Monkeys, buffalos, Antilopes, hyenas, elephants and many more. It was also much cheaper than German Safari company. We can definitely recommend

An unforgettable safari experience with Emmanuel and Nkollo Tours

We had the most incredible safari experience thanks to Annie and our amazing guide, Emmanuel, from Nkollo Tours & Safaris. They took excellent care of us throughout the entire trip. We highly recommend booking a 5-day safari with this company and requesting Emmanuel as your guide. He was an outstanding guide: calm, relaxed, fun, and great to talk and laugh with. He has extensive knowledge of the animals and always does everything in his power to give you the best experience possible. The lodges were beautiful, comfortable, and served excellent food. The packed lunches were also very good and included rice, vegetables, and either meat or fish. Before the trip, they ask whether you have any allergies or special dietary requirements. Communication with Annie was excellent. She always replied quickly, made us feel welcome, and ensured that the itinerary and quotation could be adjusted to our wishes.

    100% recommend

We waited six years for this safari trip, so when it came to choosing a tour operator, we wanted to make sure we picked people who would help us have the best experience possible. We wanted people who would respond quickly, offer flexibility in choosing accommodations, and connect with us on a deeper level than just tour operator—just another random client. We wanted someone who was ethical when it came to animals, who could provide us with information about what we were seeing, and with whom we could feel completely at ease—someone we could trust completely for five days, knowing they would do everything possible to ensure we had the best experience. We found all of these things with the team at Nkollo. From the planning stage right through to the moment we returned to Arusha, they took care of absolutely everything. Our only job was to let ourselves be spoiled and experience the magic of being around those wonderful animals. Allan was very patient with us, providing us with the most superb accommodations, and Vincent was a very knowledgeable guide and someone we enjoyed spending five days with in the same car. There are so many tour operators, and sometimes it’s hard to know from home what they’re really like, but I can say hand on heart that the team at Nkollo are extraordinary. Thank you, Allan & Vincent!

    Exceptional experience with Nkollo

Jefftar was our guide and driver, and we felt completely safe and secure with him throughout the entire trip. He is extremely experienced — we saw all of the Big Five within the first three days, and he often stayed out with us until sunset to help us spot more wildlife. We felt very lucky to have had him guiding us. There had been heavy rain recently and many vehicles got stuck in the mud, with one even overturning, but we remained safe the whole time thanks to his careful driving and constant focus. He checked the vehicle thoroughly before every departure, and one morning even went for servicing at 6 a.m. to ensure everything would run smoothly. He also maintained the jeep at an impressively high hygiene standard despite the muddy season. Every day the in-car mats were cleaned thoroughly, and he even washed the jeep to keep the windows clear so we could properly spot animals — something we really appreciated. What touched us most was his kindness and humanity. He gently asked whether we would be happy for our untouched lunch box to be shared with people working in the park who had no food. That moment really showed us his character. Another lovely surprise was when we casually mentioned we hadn’t had any pork during the trip out of curiosity — Jefftar spoke with the camp chef, and that evening we were served fried pork for dinner! We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Jefftar as our guide — he is truly exceptional. A big thank you as well to our trip planner Mercy for organising everything so seamlessly and giving us such an unforgettable experience.
