    Big 5 and more!!

What an amazing safari we had - seeing so much more than we could have imagined. Our guide, Cathbert, is who made this such a fantastic experience. His knowledge was so impressive and he was always happy to share and answer questions. He was flexible and wanted to be sure to provide us the safari we dreamed of.

    IMPRESSIVE

IMPRESSIVE. That's the word that defines our experience with Altezza on our honeymoon. From the very first moment, starting with Anna, who took care of us and helped us a lot in planning our trip. The quality of the safari was spectacular. And the one who truly made the experience spectacular was our guide, Anold. We can't imagine a better guide than him; he's an incredible person who helped us with everything we needed during the trip. He was also a huge help with spotting animals and his perfect knowledge of all the parks. Without a doubt, Anold made our honeymoon even more incredible. Thank you, Altezza, for a dream honeymoon!!

    Absolutely incredible!

Everything Altezza (Polina) touched turned to gold! I had an incredible time. Noel, our guide was amazing and so knowledgable on the animals and organised. Everything went extremely smoothly and I loved all the accommodation and experiences offered.

    Wonderful beyond words!

Our guide, Logo, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. He was also very skilled in getting us up close and personal with elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, etc. On our final day, he instinctively took a route which allowed us to view a pride of lions with four playful cubs. Words cannot describe the experience. Thank you so much Logo and Altezza!

So much good things to say about our guide and the company

Our guide Barakael was absolutely incredible. As a guide, we were very impressed by his knowledge and expertise. We loved how he paid attention to the details and the little things that we were not expecting. He is extremely knowledgeable about all the parks but also the differences between parks across Africa. We also appreciated that he knew the areas of the park. As a driver, we really appreciated his driving. Not once did we feel unsafe with him. He followed the rules and we were so impressed with his knowledge of the roads and directions. As a person, we really enjoyed his company during our trip. His demeanor is so calm and approachable. He was patient and honest with us at all times. His english is very good and he had great communication, always checking in with us. We loved his passion for his work and found him to be very down to earth. We would recommend him greatly. Overall, our safari experience was amazing. Altezza did a phenomenal job with the bookings and guides. We really appreciated the wifi in the vehicles as well.

5 Day Tanzania Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 5 Day Tanzania Safari cost?

    +

Prices start at $3,472 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Day Tanzania Safari take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 5 Day Tanzania Safari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Day Tanzania Safari?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 5 Day Tanzania Safari suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5 Day Tanzania Safari?

    +

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 Day Tanzania Safari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

    +

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
