Fun and adventurous !

The safari was very nice. We saw a lot of animals and beautiful scenery. Time of transit between spots were long at time, there was also a lot of aspects that were not organized or not communicated clearly during the safari which lead to waiting and uncertainty. The food was delicious and our Guide was very knowledgeable . Our highlight was Noel, whom we met before and after. He waa very good host, generous with his time, provided clear information, went beyond to help us and make sure we were ok and well taken care of.

An unforgettable experience that was perfectly curated.

An unforgettable experience that was perfectly curated. Our coordinator Noel was absolutely fantastic and made sure we have a great time at the safari. From airport pickup to drop off we felt very looked after and each element was just perfect and managed in a stress free environment. The food was delicious, sleeping conditions were better than expected and you even got the luxury to get a barista made coffee in the middle of the national parks… I would strongly recommend opting for this route as well, as we got to see such a wide range of animals in different settings. From Baobab tree filled Tarangire to breathtaking Ngorongoro crater, there wasn’t a moment you weren’t stunned by the beautiful environment you were driving through. Our guide Godson was brilliant and knew exactly the spots to look out for rarer spotted animals, such as cheetahs and rhinos. He also provided great knowledge about the animals and was patient and helpful with any of our questions. Overall a 100/10 experience and would love to do it all over again.

Response from the operator: Hello Eliza. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a fantastic review after your recent safari experience with us. Your kind words mean the world to our team and we’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time on the safari.

Most insane experience

We did the 4-day camping safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, and I could not recommend it more. From the beginning, we were kept in the loop with everything, it was organised smoothly and efficiently by Noel, who was responsive, friendly, and made the whole booking process stress free. The safari itself felt like a dream. Every day brought something new: watching elephants roam in Tarangire, experiencing the endless plains and dramatic sunsets of the Serengeti, and finally descending into the surreal Ngorongoro Crater, where we saw lions just metres away from our vehicle. Our guide Godson was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about wildlife, which made every sighting feel even more special. The Safari truck was also extremely comfortable and had everything you could need (chargers and fridge for cold drinks). Camping under the stars added a whole other level to the experience. The food exceeded expectations: hearty, varied meals prepared fresh each day.

Response from the operator: Hello Timmy. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a fantastic review after your recent safari experience with us. Your kind words mean the world to our team and we’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time on the safari.

A great budget safari

I couldn't have been more happy with this safari, it was a once in a lifetime experience that exceeded my expectations. Despite it being the wet season and being warned that the animals are harder to see, we saw all of the big 5 pretty quickly, huge herds of elephants as well as giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, a cheeta, hyenas, jackals, hippos, warthogs and even a rhino! Plus the scenery was spectacular! Noel organised the safari perfectly, was very quick to respond to messages, was waiting for me at the bus to take me to the accommodation and explain the itinerary, and helped me with payment options. Malisa our safari guide was very knowledgeable, was full of great suggestions and advice, and great to get along with.

4 days of Adventures and Wonders

My partner and I did the "4 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Camping Safari". Planing and support, via e-mail, with Gilbert and on-site from Noel was great. Both took well care of us and helped even with illness and reacted on feedback on the run. You felt that they want to take care of you that your happiness is important. The briefing at the day before the Safari was adhoc and in the hotel-room which was a bit intrusive and overwhelming. (the lobby or restaurant is a better place) The Safari itself was great. The campsites were as expected - tents ok, toilets and even showers available, food was delicious. (please do not expect hotel-standard bathrooms) Cars were great - one could stand-up to use the open roof to enjoy nature and wildlife. The crew that took care of us during the Safari was friendly and supportive. At the beginning not always clear "who" is the go-to-person and lead but with some personal engagement all was clear soon. We were 6 folks in the car - great people and we made good friends. You share a car, drinks and a driver who is at the same time the guide. We had 2 guides - one for the first 3 days and one - for the last day. Both were friendly and nice. Could have been a bit more vocal in explaining animals, countryside etc. (rather reacting to questions) Please bring warm cloths - the Ngorongoro Crater is on 2300m and at night it was really cold. (we didnt bring our warm Down-jackets which are needed) Be aware, that one is driving 4-5hours every day in a car off-roads. Price and service in the end was great. The first hotel (arriving night) was not so good - so we asked and for the last night we got a different one with was way better. Can only recommend to talk to Gilbert and Team from the very beginning openly and they will make the experience as well as it can be. Enjoy your Safari - fair price and very good service.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 4 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Camping Safari cost?

Prices start at $900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Camping Safari take?

+

That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Camping Safari?

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
