Wonderful safari - with exceptional guide Bakari
We had a wonderful four-night safari in Tanzania, made all the more special by our exceptional guide, Bakari! Our itinerary was well organised and well paced, and included game drives in Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. It offered a great balance of game drives, scenery viewing and time to relax. Bakari was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife, as well as a highly skilled and safe driver! He had an amazing ability to put us in the right place at the right time, and thanks to him we were lucky enough to see the Big Five and witness part of the wildebeest migration - a real highlight! Our chef, Erica, also kept us all well fed with the delicious and nutritious meals she prepared throughout the trip. We had a combination of tented camping and room accommodation. The camping was basic but comfortable and had everything we needed. The car was also clean and comfortable. Other highlights of the trip were the sunrise game drive through the Ngorongoro Crater, where we saw rhino and lions feeding on a carcass; seeing a pride of lions gathered around a watering hole in the Serengeti; witnessing the wildebeest migration across the Mara River; and seeing an eagle feeding on a snake. We cannot thank Bakari enough for making our Tanzanian safari such a memorable experience. His passion, expertise and genuine care made our trip so much fun, and we would highly recommend him to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania!

Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari
In January I went on a 4 day safari of Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro crater. It was part of a 10 day trip booked through Zanzi Trekking and safaris. The safari leg was done through Avocet safaris. Absolutely amazing experience, I got to see the big 5 along with giraffes, zebras and cheetahs plus many more. An amazing 4 days made even better by our brillaint guide Bakali, who was very accommodating knowledgable, fun and did his best to make the experience unforgettable. Also a special mention to our cook Martin, who made some lovely lunches and dinners.

Fantastic 4-day safari: Serengeti/Ngorongoro
We just got back from a 4-day safari with 2 nights camping in the Serengeti and 1 night at the edge of Ngorongoro Crater. The experience really exceeded our expectations! We booked quite last-minute, so Contana was super helpful to find a place for us in a group with 3 other sweet people. If you are joining a group, there can be some detours and/or delays while the guide works to accommodate everyone, so it helped to keep an open mind and go with the flow. Our guide Mike was the best! He made sure each of us had a great experience. He navigated the roads expertly and was very funny, attentive and knowledgable. And Kevin cooked a hearty and delicious meal for us 3 times a day. We saw everything we hoped we would and more. This was a really great value and we can highly recommend going with Avocet :)

Perfect Safari experience
My husband and I have just returned from a 4 day camping safari guided by Johnas. We had the most perfect and magical time. He was the best guide we could possibly have hoped for. His knowledge was incredible and his enthusiasm was infectious. He brought such a wonderful energy and so many fabulous insights. He worked tirelessly to ensure we had the most memorable safari experience and clearly cares deeply for his country and all of its wonders, which he was keen to share with us. The trip wouldn’t have been as perfect without him as our guide.
