Hands Down the Greatest Experience of My Life

From the very beginning, Nkollo was a class act. They were so communicative, even when there was a bit of an issue with making a giant purchase on my credit card in TZS, and helped walk me through the whole process of fixing the mistake I made. Also, one of the original lodgings we were supposed to get through our safari package was booked, so we were upgraded to far more luxurious accommodations on our last night at no extra charge, which was VERY appreciated. The safari itself was extremely fulfilling. I saw literally every animal I wanted to, plus events I was by no means expecting. Hands down the most exquisite, exhilarating experience of my life, and the whole time I kept saying to myself ‘it’s crazy to know you’re living one of the best moments of your life.’ The staff is also excellent. We ADORED our guide, Ringo. He is SUCH an inspiring, gentle soul, and his ability to identify any animal we pointed out, to know exactly what their habits were, and how to explain their behaviors was literally awe-inspiring. Also the way he knew exactly how to get around the different parks was also incredibly impressive. He was also GREAT to talk to. A great friend and companion throughout the whole experience. He’s both knowledgeable and funny, so we were always either learning something new, hysterically laughing, or both. We seriously cannot recommend Ringo enough and he made our experience all the greater. Mercy was also very helpful and very great to work with while booking the experience. Overall the food, lodging, and overall experience were top-notch. Cannot recommend Nkollo enough, and have already been spreading the word since coming back to NYC and showing off all the amazing pictures and videos.

Nkollo made our first trip to Africa and Tanzania life-changing!

When we started planning our Tanzania trip, we were stressed about which safaris and lodges to book and how to find trustworthy lodges and guides. On Safaribookings, I came across Nkollo and several other tour operators, all of whom sent free quotes promptly. But the responsiveness and supportive attitude of Annie Wallace from Nkollo stood out. She accommodated every customization we asked for and planned the trip perfectly. Annie also helped with things that were never part of our booking: airport transfers, celebrations at the lodges we stayed at, free upgrades to luxury lodges, and more. We also want to thank our friendly and amazing guide, Said. He was accommodating and deeply knowledgeable about all the parks and sighting areas. He didn't just help us spot wildlife; he helped us understand the parks and the behavioral patterns of the animals. That turned our safari into an immersive experience of observing wildlife rather than simply sighting animals. Before every game drive, Said would tell us, "Let the nature surprise us!" And surprise us it did, thanks to Nkollo. Said and Annie went above and beyond to give us a beautiful, memorable first experience of Africa and Tanzania. Nkollo believes in prompt and honest communication and stellar service, at a price that was better than any other operator I spoke with. I would also like to acknowledge the man behind this amazing organization, Alan, who is building a travel company focused on quality Tanzanian experiences at great value for money. Keep up the good work! We hope to experience Tanzania with Nkollo again the next time we visit this beautiful country. We strongly recommend Nkollo to any first-time traveller to Tanzania. PS: Our guide told us Nkollo means "Soul" in the founder's local language. That is exactly what every interaction with the Nkollo team felt like: soulful, warm people genuinely trying to give you a great experience in Tanzania.

    Amazing experience

We had an absolutely amazing five-day safari experience in Tanzania with Emmanuel as our guide and driver! From the very beginning, Emmanuel was friendly, communicative, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared so much information with us about the wildlife, nature, local culture, and Tanzania in general, which made the whole experience even more interesting and memorable. His hospitality was exceptional, and he always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment of the trip. He is also an excellent and very skilled driver — something you definitely appreciate after five days on safari! Beyond his professionalism, Emmanuel has a fantastic personality and brought so much fun and positive energy to our group. We even discovered that he is a great singer and dancer, which made some of our moments together even more unforgettable! By the end of the five days, it felt like we had travelled with a friend rather than simply a tour guide. We would 100% recommend Nkollo Tours for a safari in Tanzania, and especially Emmanuel as your guide and driver. If you have the opportunity to request him specifically, do it — you will be in excellent hands! Thank you, Emmanuel, for making our Tanzania experience so special and unforgettable! 🇹🇿

Nkollo and Ringo gave us four unforgettable days

Everything started with friendly, professional communication even before we booked our safari. Mercy from Nkollo was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. She answered all of our questions promptly and guided us through every step of preparing not only for the safari itself but also for our trip to Tanzania. Thanks to her advice, we decided for 4-day tour in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro and were able to make the most of the experience with our children. The best part, however, began when we met our guide, Ringo. His passion and enthusiasm for wildlife are truly contagious. Thanks to his outstanding knowledge of the national parks and animal behavior we were able to see big five. But what more, Ringo went out of his way to make sure each of us got to spend time with our favorite animals, herds of hippos for our son, elephants for me. Ringo trully made every one of our safari wishes come true and was able to answer every question we and our kids had. Even though we were traveling with young children, we felt completely safe at all times. Both we and our kids enjoyed every single minute of the adventure. Every accommodation arranged by Nkollo was unique in its own way. What they all had in common was warm, welcoming staff, delicious food, and clean, comfortable surroundings. And spending a night in a tent inside the park? What could be better than falling asleep surrounded by a herd of zebras, listening to the sounds of the wild throughout the night, and waking up to giraffes or antelopes right outside your tent? If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, don’t think twice - contact Nkollo, ask for Ringo, and let’s go wild!

Exceptional 4-Day Safari with Nkolo Tours

We had an incredible 4-day safari with Nkolo Tours, and it exceeded every expectation. Our guide, Jeff, was outstanding. He was always punctual, incredibly knowledgeable, and spoke great English, making the entire experience enjoyable and easy to follow. Jeff knew the Serengeti like the back of his hand. His experience and instincts consistently put us in the right place at the right time. We had amazing close-up sightings of lions, cheetahs, and leopards—experiences we'll never forget. He also got us remarkably close to rhinos in the Ngorongoro Crater, which was one of the highlights of the trip. Throughout the safari, Jeff was happy to answer our questions about the wildlife, the parks, and Tanzanian culture, and it was obvious he genuinely enjoys what he does. His ability to spot animals and anticipate where they would be made all the difference. If you're considering a safari in Tanzania, I highly recommend Nkolo Tours and especially Jeff as your guide. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would book with them again without hesitation.
