I was really impressed
I was really impressed with their business. Very prompt and well-organised. The lodging was excellent, particularly since we chose the less expensive option. Even local community development initiatives are supported by the one hotel. Above all, Jacob was a fantastic guide. He made sure we had a fantastic and safe trip and was very patient and informed. Without a doubt, I would take another trip with this group!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a great experience and found our team prompt and organized. We take pride in offering quality accommodations, and it's rewarding to know that the hotels we work with made a positive impression—especially with their support for local community projects. Jacob will be delighted to hear your kind words! We’re proud of his dedication to providing both a safe and memorable experience. We look forward to welcoming you back for another adventure soon!

Terrible company. Trip failed due entirely to lack of communication as to pick-up time - no refund given. $450 lost.
Complete disaster and terrible service. I was due to go on this trip to the Crater and Serengeti after the 6 day hike up Kilimanjaro using the Marangu route. I felt quite I’ll after the climb as it was very stressful with this tour group the last day (see my other review), so I spent the whole day after getting the emergency car to the hotel in bed. Despite WhatsApping and emailing their representatives, I received no communication from Africa Joy Tours about what time I would get collected for the tour. They said in the morning so I presumed 7am. The mini bus came at 5am and I was asleep. They called the room and said they wouldn’t wait for me. So they left. I had already paid $450 and they refused to give me a refund. The whole thing felt like a scam.
Response from the operator: Hello James, Very sorry for what happened, After my apology I just want to explain about the situation on reality how it was. After the climb you were notified that the next day your safari to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti will be the next morning and apart from that you were given in advance the program (I mean itinerary and time of your trip). You said that you presumed that the pickup time would have be at seven in the morning but not the reality of the time as it were indicated on the program. The car was there in that particular time as you choose for the Join group Safari and not private and normally the Join group safari have to start normally at 8 in the morning, you overnight at Moshi and the safari Had to start In Arusha something like 2 hours driving from Moshi that is why the driver comes around 5 in the morning to pick you up and drives you to Arusha to Join the others ready for the Safari. From this reference you do not need to blame at the company as long as the company provided you the time with the program before the Payments and confirmation of the Trip. Otherwise we are very sorry for what Happened Regards Emmanuel

During the few days we met a precious person in person who we will always fondly remember when we think of our vacation. We hope to see you as soon as possible. We recommend James from the heart.

3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater cost?
+
Prices start at $600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Days Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
