5-Star Safari Adventure with a Truly Outstanding Guide
We travelled in early February as a family of five (my wife and I with our three kids aged 12, 9 and 1) together with my brother and his wife, and we had an absolutely wonderful safari experience with Goldfinch Adventure. From the very beginning, communication with Goldfinch Adventure was excellent. The planning process took several weeks because I wanted to make sure we chose the right national parks and accommodations that suited our family, especially travelling with young children. They were always very quick to respond to my messages and answered all my questions clearly. Even after we had almost finalized the itinerary, I made several changes — each time they quickly provided updated quotes and different accommodation options. Their communication and patience were truly 5-star and made the whole decision process easy and stress-free. The safari itself was perfectly organised from start to finish — transport, food, accommodations and daily planning all ran smoothly. We visited in early February and the weather was beautiful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our guide Peter was amazing. With around 30 years of experience, it honestly felt like travelling with Morgan Freeman! His storytelling about the animals, nature and parks made every drive special. He answered all our questions — especially the many questions from the kids — with patience and enthusiasm. Even when we didn’t see animals for a while, his knowledge and stories made it feel like a live National Geographic episode. We visited Tarangire National Park, often called the “elephant paradise,” and it truly lived up to its name. The park is huge and incredibly beautiful, with landscapes that change between forest-like areas and open savannah. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions and even cheetahs. One of our days in Tarangire included an open safari vehicle, which was an experience by itself and highly recommended. What we also really appreciated was the crowd size. In Tarangire especially, there were moments when it felt like we were completely alone in the park. It gave a true off-road safari feeling and made the experience feel wild and authentic. In Ngorongoro there are naturally more jeeps due to the size and popularity of the crater, which is understandable. We spent a full day in Ngorongoro Crater, which was absolutely breathtaking. The crater itself is an amazing sight. We were lucky to see a lot of lions — at one point they were just meters away from our vehicle, which was incredible. We also saw rhinos, although they were further away in the distance. Overall, we managed to see 4 out of the Big Five, which we really appreciated. The accommodations were fantastic. Elephant Springs in Tarangire was beautiful — we even heard a lion roaring from our balcony at night, which was unforgettable. Our next stay at Best View Lake Manyara truly lived up to its name, with one of the most stunning views I have ever seen. We had two half days in Tarangire and a full day in Ngorongoro, which felt like a perfect balance for our family. Everything throughout the trip was smooth, well-organised and enjoyable. We had a truly memorable safari and would happily recommend Goldfinch Adventure to anyone looking for a well-organised, family-friendly and unforgettable safari experience.

Incredible Safari Advent
From the booking process to the actual tours, We had an amazing experience. Kelvin did excellent in communicating with us and following up, even keeping us Informed of political events in the area that may impact travel. He went above and beyond. Our tour guide, Mr Swahibu did really well. He made sure we were well set up at our hotels before leaving everyday. He even made sure, on the safari, that we saw animals that we individually wanted to see. Even going deep in the jungle if that’s what it took.

An unforgettable safari!
We had an unforgettable safari with Goldfinch Adventure! Everything was perfectly organized from the beginning – a big thank you to Kelvin, who took over the complete planning and coordination. Everything went smoothly, from pick-up to accommodation to transfers – you immediately notice that he has a lot of experience and has gone into every detail to our wishes. During the safari we were supervised by our guides Renald and Ludovick. Both were not only incredibly friendly and attentive, but also true experts when it came to wildlife. Thanks to their experience and patience, we experienced many exciting moments and saw animals up close that we would have missed on our own. They made us feel in the best hands at all times and with their warm manner made the safari a very special experience. Overall, we highly recommend Goldfinch Adventure – perfect organization, great guides and an all-round unforgettable adventure!

Highly recommended
We highly recommend goldfinch for Your safari. They are very flexible, responsive and you can really organise what you desire . We spent 3 days with Suma , organised by Brenda and we can confirm it was that level of service what we had expected . Either from game ride perspective (the animals and miracles we have seen are really over performed our expectations) and also accommodation and food perspective we were overly satisfied

Personalized and excellent experience
We had a great experience traveling with Goldfinch. They are a local agency and take care of their guests in a personalized way. They were very responsive and flexible in the run up to our tour. During our trip, our guide Sam took excellent care of us and gave it his all to show us the animals we hoped to see (and we did!). We can only recommend booking with Goldfinch.

3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro cost?
+
Prices start at $887 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Private Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire & Ngorongoro start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
