What you'll see and do
Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, the driver will pick you up at your hotel and start your beautiful journey to the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. The driving itself, although long, is spectacular. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well in the Serengeti you will see why the name means, in the local language, “endless plains”. The park has 6,900 sq miles (18,000 sq km) and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon, defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the great migration of over 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes. As for the big cats and large predators, it is the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas with many television scenes like the famous river crossing that have been filmed in this park. After the game drive, you will drive to your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park
On this day we suggest a very early wake-up in order to do an early morning game drive (the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you will ever witness. After the morning game drive, you will return to the camp for a rewarding brunch. You will pack your things, and proceed with the game drive exiting Serengeti National Park. Lunch will be served. After lunch, you will proceed with the game drive while heading to Ngorongoro, where you will have dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge. Note: You can do an early morning balloon safari at an extra cost.

Ngorongoro Crater
You will start the day very early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25 000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, eland, lions, zebras, gazelles, elephants, blue monkeys, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino. After the game drive you will have a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo lake. After lunch, you will proceed with a short game drive and then ascend the crater and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head back to Arusha.

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater cost?
+
Prices start at $1283 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Day: Landscapes of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
