Good expecience!
My experience with Rafiki Tembo Tours was excellent. Clear communication, punctuality, professionalism, and a very experienced guide. The route was well chosen, we saw many animals, and I always felt safe. The vehicle was in good condition, the organization was simple and efficient, and the price was fair for the quality of the service. It’s a small company, but very dedicated. It’s worth it.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your experience with Rafiki Tembo Tours & Safaris. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the safari and appreciated the communication, organization, guiding and overall value of your journey. Most importantly, we are happy that you felt safe and well taken care of throughout the safari and had the opportunity to see so much wildlife. As a locally owned and growing company, feedback like this means a great deal to our entire team and motivates us to keep improving every journey. Ahsante sana for choosing Rafiki Tembo. We hope to welcome you back to Tanzania again one day!

Best Tanzania forest Sightings and hospitality Ft our driver cum guide James @Rafiki Tembo
When you go to Tanzania, you are excited because the World's best forest await you, however, you are not sure what it holds for you, as you need an able driver or as our family calls it - Captain Forest. James from Rafiki Tembo is genuinely one of the best bush driver/forest captain we have ever been with. So let me tell from the beginning - we reach at the Isebania border, and before we step head out for Immigration to Tanzania, we he a 6 foot+ man, James, who is already waiting for us with the forms and warmly welcomes us, not be sure how it was going to be, we move ahead and James helps us adeptly to clear immigration, takes care of our luggage and welcomes us aboard in the Land Cruiser, ever seat has been kept with 2 bottles of water branded as Rafiki Tembo, and the fridge is loaded with more, and this subtle gesture just makes us happy that we are in empathetic company of the captain and his company. James asks us if we had food and borrows a minute for him, and there he comes with a hand of bananas and says we shall share it as a team, and we already feel even better. And we reach the park first - no cars before us, and well we even become happier as we have a captain who is as punctual as we are (yes my brother in law gets very ambitious with the forest timings, and we never like to miss a single chance of sightings). And oops, we get a small problem from our agent in Nairobi, and at that time, both James and Rafiki go out of the way to help us fix things, and we feel more grateful. Then we arrive at our camp, seems James know every nook and corner of Serengiti. The next day is our full day at Serengiti, and we are quite nervous and excited at the same time. James comes to our table and politely asks us about our interest, he gives us compressive background of the forest and the probable animal sightings, and we agree to meet at 5 30 am at breakfast table the next day. We see James already waiting for us at our camp inside the forest with the car washed, and greeting us as lively as we are his kin, and we feel even more excited to go (yes, if you remember, my brother in law has to be the in the forest as soon as the rules allow). We take our packed lunch after breakfast and start combing the forest whilist the cracking dawn. James and my sister spot a Lion pride, and that sets the mood for our day, James then took us to the hippo river, we sight fish eagle and goose, and hippos and Jackle. Ohk hear me there is active sighting happening to us till 8 am, and whoops we hear Cheetah on the radio, and James cruises us there, we see Cheetah moma with 2 cubs on the ant hill, and ok, wait wait, James drives away, and we ask what's it James? And he shows us 2 Leopard sub adult, then after getting dozens of amazing pictures of them (you can see the clicks on my IG: Wildlife_lens_binjan_ ) and we are back in action and we see the Cheetah mom hunting and what not! Then we all get hungry and ask James to rest us under a date tree and he finds us all a perfect spot, we all have our lunch and get back in action, Giraffes, Zebras, Elephants, leopard on a tree, and were just about to go back to our lodge and whoops James takes us to a spot where Lioness was having her supper - Zebra kill along with her cubs, and we thank James and he tells us, it was because of all of us as we worked as a team, such a humble man! We return to our camp thinking that it was the best day of our life in forest and thank god and party 🥳🎉, we had a Masai celebration and James takes the highest lenght Jump title. Next day we drive to Ngorongoro and our James shows us all the animals there, including the highly endangered Black Rhino family, takes us to our lodge and next day he takes us to Tarengere and we had the mother of all sightings, yes, we are actually making a documentary on 60+ elephant behaviour, James telling us how elephants communicate by trunks and movements, elephant shaking the baobab tree with tusk, falling its fruits and eating it and all that we saw waiting near a water body, we also saw Mama Lion near missing a zebra kill (and we have all this recorded in our mirrorless camera). We trusted him, and it turned out to be a blessing for us, for we saw the best the bushes had to offer us, we cannot be more grateful to James and Rafiki Tembo. Go for Rafiki, ask for James and trust his instincts (just as we did) and see the best of the bush from the best.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this incredible and detailed review! We’re truly happy to hear that James made your safari so memorable and that you enjoyed such amazing wildlife experiences. Your kind words mean a lot to James and the entire Rafiki Tembo team. We’re grateful for your trust and recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure!

The Safari was SENSATIONAL.
We booked our first safari with Rafiki Tembo and had a really good experience. Everything was well organized, but what stood out most was how much they cared even after the trip had started. While we were in the Serengeti, someone from their team called just to check that everything was going well and even wished us a good night. It's a small thing, but it meant a lot. The food was good overall, with a few meals better than others, and our guide was fantastic. We'd happily recommend them, especially if it's your first time on safari.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted you enjoyed your first safari with Rafiki Tembo.
