2 days Tarangire Safari
The backoffice was responsive and flexible to our desires. The service was according to the offering. Our Guide named Sulley was beyond expectations. Knowledged, communicative and patient, His great passion for his job is a big plus. In addition he drives carefully. The tented accommodation was a good pick.

Some aspects were okay, but disappointed overall.
Safari jeep could do with an upgrade. The safari on the first day seemed rushed, although we did see plenty of elephants , giraffes, zebras. The accommodation and food was very poor. After a quick check on booking.com it was by far the cheapest accommodation in the area (£13 per night) and the evening meal comprised of frozen pizza, fries and fish bites. After checking in to the accommodation I was asked if I would mind sharing (which i refused). The 2nd day at the crater was enjoyable. However, in comparison to other safaris i was disappointed overall. It felt cheap and rushed.

Truly a sight to see
Both the Tarangire and Ngorongoro were beautiful, filled with wild life. The Ngorongoro Crater is truly a sight to see. Zamir and Joshua were great guides.

Good safari adventure
This is a great way to get a taste of safari. With this tour I experienced my first safari adventure. The driver picked me up early in the morning at my hotel in Arusha. I had to pay 5$ extra for pickup and drop-off at my hotel. First day we spent at Ngorongoro and the second day at Tarangire. The driver was able to answer all questions about the parks and animals satisfactory while at the same time driving the car and looking out for animals. Standard of accommodation, food and transport was alright, just as expected for this price. As described in the description for this tour, everything is included, except for luxury. Be aware that you will spend about 9 hours each day in the safari vehicle while in the parks or traveling to our from the parks. It can be a bit exhausting. I had a good time and can easily see me using the same company for my next safari adventure.

Great safari
This was an interesting safari and for me got better as the days progressed. prior to the safari I had a couple of questions about pick up and accommodation. Which the team answered. I would say closer to my safari date I did have to chase a few times regarding if they had receive my deposit and pick up time. I didn’t stress too much as that can sometimes be the African way but I wouldn’t say it was standard as other companies were prompt in contacting me and I knew all the details in good time. The tour started with a pick up form my hotel in Moshi (note this company is based out of Arusha so if you are in Moshi they charge $45 for a single way pick up). My driver Hillary (office admin) was prompt and really friendly. I arrived at the meeting point and we took the safari vehicle to Tarangire park first. The biggest disappointment was the state of the vehicle. Eye old and the seats for some of us were wet (the did change the cushions for us). The condition of the vehicle was as more noticeable when we got to the park and you saw the other companies vans with were in a much better condition. I was very uncomfortable in my seat. The guide Will was great. Day 1 a bit quiet I thought, but by day 2 we had bonded he started talking more about the animals and history and we all became a ‘family’. The guide was really accommodating aswell and I would say an exceptional driver I gave excellent driver. He managed not to get stuck and navigated through some really tough situations. Ngorongoro on day 2 was amazing we had a really good game drive. On the way back the company kindly had my main suitcase stored as I had to go straight to catch a flight. They dropped me to airport at reduced price. I had a really nice time on this tour. Bit of feedback for improvement would be to invest in a new vehicle, I think this would make it a 5* experience for guests.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater cost?
+
Prices start at $216 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2 Day Safari Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
