    CC shared a lot of...

CC shared a lot of excellent insight about the experience of Taipei residents. Hearing her perspective as someone who was raised in the US and then moved to Taipei and is raising her children there was really fascinating. All of the foods that she introduced me to were excellent.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review Hillary! Enjoyed our tour together on Christmas Eve!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our...

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with CC. She taught us so much about Taiwanese culture and food as well as allowing us to try food we would not have known about ourselves. My husband has a preference for exploring on our own over tours, but said I absolutely made the right call booking the food tour. Highly recommend this tour and CC as a guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review Jeni! Thrilled you and your husband were so please and I had the pleasure of showing you both around on my tour!

    Enjoyable food tour

Had a very enjoyable food tour with CC, seeing where the locals go and taste what the locals enjoy. CC is a very knowledgeable and hospitable guide. This area has lots of character as well. Highly recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Thanks for writing a review!! It was fun showing you around & happy you enjoyed the tour!

    Yummy and Veggie Friendly!

My sister and I went on a food tour with Chiao in November 2022 (yes we're a bit late in writing this review), and it was excellent! We are vegetarian and she did a great job catering to our dietary restrictions. She showed us lots of foods we wouldn't have known to look for and even gave us restaurant recommendations to try during our trip! She also gave us great insight to life in Taipei and the history of the city. We had a great time and would highly recommend her tour to others who are interested!

Response from the operator: Thanks for taking the time to write a review!! I had so much fun showing you both around & happy you both had a great time!

WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Taipei.

How much does WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $46 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Taipei usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Taipei is not rushed.

Is WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Taipei, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Taipei can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Taipei and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does WoknRoll Taipei Walking and Historical Food Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Taipei within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Taipei?

    +

On Outty we rank every Taipei experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Private Custom Taipei City Tour, Private Tour to Jiufen, Yehliu Geopark, and Pingxi, Full-Day Private Northern Taiwan Tour from Taipei with Pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Taipei?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Taipei?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
