Top tour on our trip to Yucatan
After 3 days of tours with different companies we got cherry on top with Yucatan Elis tours and guide Rodrigo. Mayan ceremony, exciting stroll through the jungle looking for spider monkeys, canoeing on lagoon, swimming in lagoon while listening to howler monkeys, delicious mexican cuisine, all part of unforgetable experience. Just a handful of other tourists on location, almost none compared to other attractions. No rush with schedule, more than enough time for activities, left us with relaxed and full of life feeling. Guide Rodrigo knows a lot about Mexico, and is more than glad to answer every question, also brings good vibes so we very much enjoyed his company.

Fun Adventure
This was a great day adventure! Nelson was an excellent guide, really friendly and provided a lot of insights. He also took a lot great photos of my husband and I. The lagoon was really beautiful and it was really cool to see monkeys in their natural habitat. The cenote was really intense (very steep ladder) but really unique. The late lunch in Coba was delicious. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you for reviewing us! We hope to see you again for another adventure!

Monkeys!!!
This was a great tour! We saw howler monkeys, spider monkeys, an a blue neck turkey. We had a blast zip lining and taking the canoe across the lagoon. The cenote was so cool. Ask for Nelson, he was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide!!! Oh and the lunch was outstanding. Highly recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We hope to see you again!

Lots of fun, but don't look for anything educational
Zip line and cenote were both really fun. They should tell you in the description that you're going to zipline and be lowered down by a rope into a 3 story cavern you'll have to climb out of I, but it wasn't anything crazy.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to review us. You are correct, the Wild Monkey Adventure is not what we would consider to be “educational,” it is a fun tour in the jungle. If you would have contacted us to let us know you were interested in an “educational” tour we would have recommended a tour to one of the several Mayan ruins sites in the area. You would learn about culture and history at the ruins. The Wild Monkey Adventure is looking at wild monkeys in the trees, swimming in a lagoon, and zip lining…all of which is clearly stated in the tour description online.

WILD MONKEY TOUR
We have made numerous trips to Tulum. We love touring with Yucatan Eli’s Tours. We only tour with Yucatan Eli. The guides are extremely knowledgeable of the Mayan history and culture. As they are talking it is so easy to visualize life then. The guides make the tours interesting and fun. We did the wild monkey tour. It was so fun to see the monkeys in their natural habitat. Walking thru the jungle we saw a few small areas of ruins and came out to a beautiful cenote. Yucatan Eli”s always provides snacks and water and makes sure everyone is doing ok and are safe. We are going to Tulum in the fall and will be touring with Yucatan Eli’s Tours again. We are so looking forward to our next trip. BEST TOURS EVER!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to review us! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your Wild Monkey Adventure. See you soon!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day) cost?
+
Prices start at $239 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day) take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Wild Monkey Adventure (Private, Full Day) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
