    Excellent!

Very good experience. As soon as we got off the cruise they were waiting for us, it was very easy to find them and from there everything flowed perfectly. The tour was super quiet, well organized and the park is stunning. We take a beautiful memory. Super recommended.

    Positive comment for the...

Positive comment for the vendor being on time and visible at pickup location. However cannot recommend for multiple reasons. WhatsApp number for booking is never answered when I called with questions. My inquiry to Viator was to be emailed to vendor but I still got no response. The “20% early booking discount” was never applied. When time for lunch the guide said he was given 6 lunches for the 8 in the group…but we could buy food at the park. Loved the penguins but not pleased with the vendor experience.

    Waddling with the Penguins

We were on a Celebrity Cruise and the tour provider Yellow Penguin was extremely accommodating to the port of call times. We arrived in port early but also had to leave early. The tour guide Valeria and the driver Dante were waiting eagerly with a sign. It was very easy to find them considering all the Celebrity cruise busses that were also there. Considering that the cruise was not in port very long the tour does take all day and there is at least a two hour drive to Punta Tombo and back. But our driver Dante was amazing and made it worth it. We went in a small group bus which allowed us to get there earlier than the cruise ships bus which meant we had a 2 hour experience with the penguins while Celebrity guest tours only had from 45 minutes to 1 hour. Valerie was very informative on the drive there and back which made the trip feel shorter than it was. At Punta Tumbo we saw Guanaco, armadillo and of course Magellanic penguins. These penguins actually get up close and personal as they burrow near and around the pathway. Often a penguin will waddle in front of people.

    Firstly, Punta Tombo is...

Firstly, Punta Tombo is an experience not to be missed. Yellow Penguin was great from start to finish, both with other interactions with them and also them making things right after we had some on tour concerns. The tour was operated by Dos Oceanos. Our guide, Christian, was not knowledgeable and did not address all tour participants equally, but rather just the few in the front of the minibus (there was no microphone). He also was unable to answer basic questions at the Reserve. There is more, but suffice to say that it was enough to cause us to reach out to YP. They responded to our concerns with care and made extra efforts to make up for the issues. For that, and our other interactions and tour with Yellow Penguin, we would absolutely use them again. However, if in Puerto Madryn, absolutely avoid Dos Oceanos.

    Simply the Best !

The Yellow Penguin guys are fabulous, flexible, friendly, helpful and such a pleasure to be with. We were on a South American Cruise and we heard about them from mother passenger. SO, SO pleased that we did!!! They provide a fantastic and cheaper, quality alternative to the very pricey excursions from the cruise company. They helped me to fulfil a dream of seeing penguins close up. They are a real pleasure to be with and you really feel that they care you and ensuring that you have the very best time. They are enormous fun too. Would highly recommend them.

Response from the operator: What a wonderful message — it truly made our Yellow Penguin hearts melt! 🐧💛 It was an absolute pleasure sharing the days before the cruise with you and then enjoying 14 unforgettable days together on the Sapphire Princess. Getting to know you, laugh with you, and be part of your dream of seeing penguins up close was incredibly special for our whole team. Thank you for your beautiful words and for trusting us with such an important experience. We always say that what makes Yellow Penguin unique isn’t just the tours — it’s the amazing people we get to share them with. And you are definitely one of those people. We hope to see you again somewhere in South America… the penguins (and all of us!) will be waiting for you with open wings. 🐧💛 Warm hug from the entire Yellow Penguin Team

Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Madryn.

How much does Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers cost?

    +

Prices start at $111 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Madryn usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Madryn is not rushed.

Is Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Madryn, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Madryn can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Madryn and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Walk with the Penguins- EARLY BOOKING -20% OFF Cruise Passengers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Madryn within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Madryn?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Madryn experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best of Peninsula Valdés in one day, Shore Tours Punta Tombo Cruise Ship Passengers Puerto Madryn, Snorkeling with Sea Lions by Madryn Buceo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Madryn?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Madryn?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
