A fabulous 5 star day out

Such a brilliant day out. Dave was an excellent guide who made the day interesting and varied. The cab was spotlessly clean and included water and sweet treats which was a nice touch. We were never rushed and there was plenty of time for photos. We had lunch at an excellent Italian cafe in East London which added to the authenticity. I would highly recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Hi Jane, Thanks very much for your lovely Review. I really enjoyed doing the Villains and Gangsters tour for you and it was superb to have such a knowledgeable and fun group to show around. I’m so glad you enjoyed the Pelliccis Cafe stop and we managed to see so much more. I look forward to seeing you again on one of my tours in the future. Dave

    What a great day!

From the moment Dave picked us up he made us so welcome and comfortable in the cab. Nothing was too much trouble, he stopped off, showed us places of interest and told us the stories behind what we were looking at. His knowledge is extensive! He recommended and introduced us to a fab Italian cafe (that requires a review of it's own) and took us to a great pub as we wanted to have a drink at the end of the tour. Before we left him we booked our next tour!

Response from the operator: Hi Karen, Thanks very much for your lovely Review. Dave

    Villains and Gangsters tour

Six of us friends did this tour and it was fantastic. Dave was really knowledgeable and it was fun and interesting and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely do another of his tours.

Response from the operator: Hi Carol, Thanks very much for your lovely review and I’m so glad that you all you all enjoyed the tour. You were a fabulous group to take on the Villains and Gangsters Tour. We managed to be flexible, to see everything despite the very heavy rain showers in the second half of the tour. Hope to see you all again soon for another taxi tour.

A great way to see London and its history

Totally agree with the other reviewers. Wonderful experience. Taking Dave's cab took the hassle out of exploring London and his well researched information and stories were just right to keep our interest without us being overwhelmed. We visited some places we knew of but wouldn't have known to find them. It was a lovely fun day in Dave's beautifully clean cab, hearing some amazing stories and no worries about finding toilets and he knows of great places to eat and picnic. Definitely recommend most highly.

Response from the operator: Hi Jill and thanks very much for your lovely review. It was great to share our knowledge together and to see some fabulous places too. Hopefully a memorable birthday treat for both Doug and yourself. I’m glad you enjoyed your morning coffee in E Pelliccis and picnic lunch in Embankment Gardens. See you again on another tour some time.

Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $395 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Villains and Gangsters of London Private Taxi Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
