About this experience

The Tower of London holds nearly 1,000 years of royal history, and this tour gets you closer to it than most visitors ever go. Timed entry takes you past the ticket queues, and an expert guide brings the fortress to life through stories of royal betrayal, political intrigue, and centuries of captivity. The tour moves through the Tower's key landmarks: Traitors' Gate, where prisoners once arrived by boat; Tower Green, site of Tudor executions; the Jewel House, home to coronation crowns and the Cullinan diamonds; and the Bloody Tower, where two young princes disappeared in 1483. The tour's signature moment is a private 15-minute audience with a real Yeoman Warder at the King's House, an area closed to the public. Ask questions, hear royal gossip, and snap a photo with one of London's most iconic guardians. For a shorter visit, the Express option covers the guided tour and Crown Jewels access in 90 minutes, without the Beefeater meet and greet.

No One Can Hear You

Guide - boating, gave no information we wanted to hear, couldn’t work the equipment and simply a flat boring delivery Tour. 74 minutes and not 120 as she kept disappearing as couldn’t operate the equipment. Outcome. We just wanted her to go away.

Response from the operator: Hi Joseph, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience fell short of expectations and that audio equipment issues disrupted the tour. Providing smooth, engaging historical tours is our priority, and we regret that technical difficulties impacted your time with us. Historical walking tours rely on clear audio gear, especially in busy open air venues like the Tower of London, and we have shared your comments with our London Operations Manager to inspect the equipment and work with our team on delivery. Please reach out to support@thetourguy.com so we can look into your booking details and work to get this resolved for you. We appreciate your feedback as we work to improve, and we hope to welcome you back for a much better experience in the future.

Meet the Yeoman Warder!

Nice tour. Glad we had the meet & greet with the Yeoman Warder. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but explained history in an easy way to understand and remember.

VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 412 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour?

+

Around 144 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does VIP Beefeaters Meet & Greet with Tower of London Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

+

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

+

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
