    A perfect day in Sydney

Our tour guide, Andrew, was excellent. He quickly assessed the things we wanted to do and our activity level and tailored the day to these needs. We visited everything from the Opera House to Bondi Beach to Manley Beach with many stops in between. Andrew was engaging and knowledgeable about each place we visited while also telling us a lot about his life with his family in Sydney. We stopped for a wonderful lunch along the way at a little beach front spot in Dunbar, site of the famous shipwreck of 1857. I did a lot of research into tour groups before I settled on this group. They are five star in every way. You do not need to look any further than Your Sydney Guide.

    Charlie our best guide ever!!!!!!!!!!

What an awesome day we had with Charlie. He was so knowledgeable about the city, its history and we were able to see a lot of the local community. He also had a great sense of humor and made our day so special for us. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: A big thank you Lorna, will pass your kind words on to Charlie. He is an awesome tour guide and so glad you had a great day out with him. Kind regards, Scott.

Personal touch to seeing the city and beyond

Had a fabulous and very full day taking in the sites and stories around Sydney. Charlie is a delightful guide, super friendly, expert in his local knowledge, and wanting and able to craft a day's plan according to the interests of the client. He made me feel like a family member who flew into town so that he could show off the place he calls home. Could not be more pleased with the experience. Thanks, Charlie!

    Sydney Private Tour Done Right

Was a brilliant experience learning about the history of Australia and Sydney from Scott! Even though the weather was against us, we spent the day driving around the city to absorb the vibe of places such as the Rocks and Bondi beach. Scott knew amazing view points for us to take nice clicks. He made sure the group (which included an infant and 2 seniors) were comfortable and engaged through his entire sharing. Would highly recommend the team at Your Sydney Guide for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Sydney and its surroundings!

Best way to see Sydney! You cannot go wrong with Your Sydney Guide!!

We throughly enjoyed our Sydney city tour with Scott! We had a group of 8 ranging in age from 9 months to 71 years old and Scott was a pro at making sure all of our needs and interests were met! I loved the convenience of being picked up and dropped off right at our AirBnB. Scott is so kind and personable, he really adds a dimension to this tour that you don’t get with large tour companies. He showed us lots of highlights of Sydney- most we would have had difficulty finding on our own! His knowledge and pride of his country and city were a true delight! Amongst all the normal Sydney highlights he even took us to a famous food trailer for a meat pie and to the beautiful Bondi beach! You cannot go wrong if you book your tour Your Sydney Guide! I cannot think of one way that this tour could be improved- definitely 10/10.

Sydney City Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does Sydney City Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $1295 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sydney City Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is Sydney City Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sydney City Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sydney City Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sydney City Private Tour?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sydney City Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
