Excellent excursion (if you can decompress) Great if you can’t you can still see everything 10/10
We paid $159 for the Snuba excursion via Carnival. Snuba was the ABSOLUTE best part of the 5 day cruise. The meet up in Cozumel was for 10 and the guide was on top and it took a total of maybe 20 minutes to get to the Snuba beach via a medium sized boat. Upon arrival We met with our Snuba guide (DiDi) and he asked who could and couldn’t swim, who has Snuba, scuba, or snorkeled before so that he knew who to give more attention to. My girlfriend was not at all a good swimmer and he was very very kind and patient with her and the process of getting underwater and breathing through the tube and the decompression (some get it some don’t it does take practice). The Snuba itself was very fun the water is crystal clear and Blue, ALOT of wildlife underneath so you aren’t cheated out of seeing anything, some large reefs some small and an area that had hushed round globe bomb like things that had hundreds of beautiful fish inside (if your able to decompress and get to the bottom he let me touch the bombs to record everything up close) i highly highly recommend, no complaints other than it was only 30 minutes of Snuba but of course if you pay more you can stay more.

Great experience, good value, expensive videos
Great experience and good value for what it is. The best SNUBA experience I had was in Philippines and this pales in comparison. The location is both good and meh. I went to the location within central Cozumel which was a short walk away from the ferry. The dive spot is right off Jeanie's Bar which is not gonna be as pretty as a reef spot in the ocean. But not having that boat ride is probably why this excursion is relatively cheap for such a rare experience. There were a lot of fish and they placed about a dozen structures/statues to explore. I thought the depth was really nice and the equipment seemed good. My only complaint about the experience itself is that it felt very short. But the staff are guiding you in scuba gear with limited air so it's understandable. The footage captured by the cameraman was fantastic. But I thought the price was steep for the media package. I brought my own gopro and after reviewing my footage, I kind of regret not buying the package, as mine did not come out so good. If you are going to do your own underwater filming, bring the red lense filter and a long selfie stick. Don't worry about a floatie handle since even if you drop it, you can easily pick it up. Regarding the difficulty of the activity, the staff do their best to instruct you but it's best if you go in with some knowledge and skills. - Know how to work a snorkel mask. Better yet, bring your own so you don't have to adjust anything. - Know how to expel water from your mask underwater(optional, but handy). - Know how to dive down and kick using fins. A lot of people seem to struggle with this. The key is to breathe out fully. If you breathe too fast or hold your breath with full lungs you will struggle to dive down. If you breathe all the way out and slowly breath in, you will sink quickly. Also, ask your guide for extra weights on your weight belt. - Know how to equalize. It's easy if you keep breathing. If this seems difficult, then do their underwater walk instead which seems a lot easier. We met a family there that just did that activity and they seem to have enjoyed it immensely. Also with the walk, you wear a giant helmet and your face is fully visible which makes for better photos.
