    The ATVs were fun,...

The ATVs were fun, tequila making (and tasting) tour was interesting, beach club was nice and relaxing.

OK excursion, but didn't receive everything advertised

While guides Rodrigo and Miguel were friendly and got us back to the port on time, the excursion didn't fully deliver on what was advertised. Most notably, the cenote stop was completely skipped without any explanation from the team. The ATV trail ride lasted about 40–45 minutes and was enjoyable. The cultural tasting stop felt a bit like a high-pressure sales pitch (claiming $30 tequila was worth $85–$300). Snorkeling at the beach club was decent—Rodrigo fed the fish to lure them in near the small reef—and the included lunch (the fish tacos were good) was a nice finish. It wasn't a bad day, but when you pay for a specific itinerary including a cenote, you expect to visit all the promised stops.

    Would I do it again?

It gets a 4 because my wife loved it (5) and I was like “it’s OK” and would have given it a 3. ATV and our guide was the best part. We are a retired couple in our early 60’s. My wife really liked this excursion. I liked parts of it and didn’t like parts of it. Communication was great from the company Coco Adventures. We walked to the meeting point from the Carnival Cruise port with ease. Mind you, Every part of this excursion is owned and operated by Coco Adventures. Our Guide, Brandon was a highlight of this excursion. Super nice young man and very pleasant to be around. Provided a cooler of water and drinks at our pleasure. He was happy to answer our questions and point out areas that he knew and how those areas were a part of his everyday life. All in all, it was your typical guided tour experience that we have experienced before. All “tastings” eventually lead into a sales pitch of some sort. You entered the “Sabor de Cozumel” compound owned by Coco Adventures. Went straight to the ATV’s. Best part for us was the ATV experience. We had never driven ATV’s and it was a first for us. We had Katia as our guide on that and she was super sweet. They took photos for you and then of course we were able to purchase the set for $55 which we did. The Cenote is not your typical cenote as it is at ground level and fenced off. It was still cool to jump off the platforms though. After the ATV’s we were then corralled to walk the “tasting” stations, welcome tequila drink, chocolate, and tortillas. All had out tipping jars.. I will tell you I enjoyed the chocolate and tortilla demo. It was informative and tasty. When then started the Tequila tour which was a history of the company made tequila and ended in a sit down sale pitch with tastings included. It is really good tequila and it is expensive. My wife loved it and bought a bottle, (Alejandro? Did a GREAT job) I don’t like sitting down anywhere for a sales pitch so I was done at that point. Our start time was 11a from the port and by the time we left the compound it was like 12:50p? and drive to the beach club, also owned by Coco Adventures. We arrived at the beach club around 1:15p. We ordered beers and put off lunch until we had time to relax. The beach club was nice and clean and pretty modern. There is no beach per se. It borders rocks and there is a pier from the rocks to the ocean. The area where the loungers are is all sand. There is also a pool area and bathrooms. There is a station to get your snorkel gear no charge. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Not crowded at all. We had some rain come in. We ordered more beers and our free lunch. We both got tacos. I got the fish and Wife got the beef. Tacos were fine and fresh. The green salsa of the two was the best. Around 2:45p we told Brandon we were ready to get back. overall was great excursion to see Cozumel and to give back to the actual community. Brandon needs a raise.

Response from the operator: Dear Mark, Thank you so much for this wonderfully detailed and honest review — and we are genuinely glad your wife had a 5-star experience while you still found plenty of highlights to enjoy along the way! Brandon truly is a star and your raise recommendation is noted — we will make sure he reads every word! Katia, Alejandro and the entire Team also deserve a heartfelt thank you for contributing to making your day so memorable. Regarding the tipping jars and tasting presentations, we completely understand your perspective. We want to respectfully note that tip jars and optional purchases are a common and standard practice at virtually every touristic venue worldwide — from chocolate tastings in Belgium to wine tours in Napa. At Coco Adventours Cozumel nothing is ever mandatory and every Guest is always free to simply enjoy the experience and move on with a warm smile and no obligation whatsoever. We also appreciate your honest observations about the beach club — and we are glad the cleanliness, the loungers, the snorkel gear and the fresh tacos all hit the spot, even with a little rain adding some island character to the afternoon! Thank you for the kind words about supporting the local community — that means everything to a family owned business like ours. We hope to welcome you and your wife back very soon! Warm regards, The Coco Adventours Cozumel Team

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 2,128 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel?

    +

Around 745 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, Jade Caverns Private Jeep Tour with Lunch and Snorkeling. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
