Not worth the money
The crew was great. There was no sailing and the snorkelling was all of 20 min and too controlled no freedom to explore. We spent more time on the isla Mujeres than on the boat and if you are staying in Playa del Carmen it is a 2 hour cramped bus ride. We basically spent more time on the bus than on the boat. Not worth the money at all.

A dream
Excellent advice and recommendation, Paco attended us, his attention was a 10, he explained each tour in detail and recommended us based on what we wanted, we were happy, the tour to Isla Mujeres is a luxury for the view, we also visited Xcaret and it is really a dream everything. The Channel tourist boys gave us some tips to get around the park well and it was a success, you are too committed and attentive at all times with the transfers. I definitely recommend them, they are a 1000 out of 10. In addition they gave us many data of restaurants and places to know, Paco is an excellent host of Playa del Carmen.

I highly recommend Francisco Guillen Lopez !!!
Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time on la isla mujeres. All of that thanks to Paco. He’s a great guy and I would recommend him and his services. The guy’s always happy and chatty! Truly, the best man ever!

Excellent group!
My experience with Turismo Channel was great! Jorge and Vanessa were very helpful to help us reserve for our activities. We were in disappointment cuz other agents were were putting us through presentations with hotels which was taking our little time we had in Mexico.Turismo Channel does not do that. Their service comes with shuttle to and from the activities and a buffet lunch. My family and I purchased 2 activity packages the luxury sailing to Isla Mujeres and Xplore theme park. I will definitely go back to Turismo Channel for future and I highly recommend anyone who's planning to go to Mexico to go through them for reservations.

Not really a ‘snorkeling’ adventure.
First, the crew were amazing and really fun, especially our guide, Abraham. The boat is really fun to ride on too. That being said, we were overall pretty disappointed in this tour though. I should say that I don’t drink so I can’t speak to that part ( everyone seemed to really be enjoying that aspect though) The snorkeling is only like 20 minutes long where you spend most of your time trying not to lose the guides or get mixed up in another of the dozen groups doing the same thing. They mention paddle boarding. Yeah, that is a single paddle board tied 10 feet from the boat that one person can sit or stand on. You can also jump into the water again and hold onto a rope if you want to ‘swim’. This is activity is just 20 min long. Then you get to the island. The ‘beautiful’ Playa Norte was pretty disappointing. The nice things are that the water is shallow for a long distance from shore and there are no breaking waves. But there are dozens of boats anchored just off shore which limits the swimming area and obstructs the view. The sand itself was crammed with tons of people. It was hard to find a place to sit. We had about 4 1/2 hours to spend on the island. We walked down every street in the downtown area and walked along the entire length of the north beach and still had 2 hours to burn somehow. A lot of people went tequila tasting/shopping. We sat on the crowded beds at the dock. (You get access to 4 beds there - but so does every other tour group coming in every 10 minutes). If you just want an open bar on a fun boat, there is probably a cheaper version of this tour without the snorkeling, and you would have a great time. If you are hoping for a snorkeling adventure, maybe try something else. (XelHa is fun).

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, Privilege Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
