Trying Odisea Patagonica is adopting it;-)

If you want to spend a wonderful day at the Valdés Peninsula, I strongly advise you to choose Odisea Patagonica! After booking a few days before arriving from our cruise ship, I was able to communicate very easily with them to find out where to meet. Perfect organization. We were 3 and had the chance to be in 4x4 with Santiago who is a golden guide! And I weigh my words so much that this specialist and passionate man taught us, throughout the excursion, about land and sea fauna, flora, the history of Puerto Madryn, the Valdés Peninsula and Patagonia. We spent 8 hours fabulous with him and were able to see Guanacos, elephants and sea lions and Magellanic penguins. Unfortunately, the time of the tide did not allow us to see killer whales but Santiago's knowledge quickly made us forget this! I am a photographer and thanks to him I was able to take very beautiful photos. We have the chance to go around the world for 4 months and this is the first excursion, since we left a month ago, that I book directly with a local agency. And I did so well!!! Thanks again to Santiago and Odisea Patagonica for an unforgettable day!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the trust! It has been a pleasure to receive you, and we are happy that you had a beautiful experience at the destination. We are waiting for you when you want to return! Greetings ! Romina and Aline

Very uncomfortable

There were 6 passengers, the driver and guide in a low roof van. I was in the very back in the middle seat. I have low back discomfort and this was so uncomfortable we spent 3-4 hrs in the van and most on gravel roads. Couldn’t see out of the windows or take photos The guide speaker didn’t work well so hard to hear from the back The lunch was homemade sandwich

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your opinion. At first it caught my attention because when we were waiting for them they never complained about the vehicle nor did they clarify to the guide their disagreement with the vehicle or the service. Box lunches are always sandwiches, they are not a la carte dishes. Also, thank you very much for your opinion. Have a nice day, Kind regards, Romina

Fun day touring the peninsula

When I booked this tour, I thought we would be on a bus in a small group. However, this is an individual tour. Our guide, Sergio, picked us up outside the cruise port and we started the day, just the 3 of us. He was an incredible guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and everything we saw in the peninsula - which was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour if you are in port for just the day.

Response from the operator: Dear Thank you very much for your opinion, and we hope to have you again visiting our City. Thank you so much! Greetings Romina

One stop had a distant...

One stop had a distant view of Sea Lions. Our guide did not speak English well. The trip was long and a disappointment.

Response from the operator: Dear Michael I regret that here in Patagonia there are natural cliffs and the animals can be seen from there, and since we visit animals in their natural habitat, they can move freely. Thank you very much for trusting us Kind regards, Romina and Aline

Very far away and little visibility of the animals

It took more than 2 hours to travel, much of it on a gravel road! Bilingual guide but gave little information about the place and animals! He was actually a driver and not a guide! The place had penguins and sea lions but without binoculars the observation was impaired! The animals were at least 30 meters away which didn't give us the experience we would have liked! After an hour of observing a really beautiful landscape, we passed through Puerto Pirâmides and returned to the city in time to return to our Cruise, but without time to visit the little shops in the center in front of Porto! For the price I expected more, and next time I would hire directly upon arrival as it would be much more affordable and I would choose Punta Tombo to see the penguins up close!

Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Madryn.

How much does Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers cost?

+

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Madryn usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Madryn is not rushed.

Is Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Madryn, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Madryn can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Madryn and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Shore Excursion PENINSULA VALDES Cruise Passengers start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Madryn within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Madryn?

+

On Outty we rank every Puerto Madryn experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best of Peninsula Valdés in one day, Shore Tours Punta Tombo Cruise Ship Passengers Puerto Madryn, Snorkeling with Sea Lions by Madryn Buceo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Madryn?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Madryn?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
