Major app issues, forced to end Scavenger Hunt early!!
The Scavenger Hunt was going fine, until about 3 quarters of the way through, when the app just went to a screen asking me to sign up for a membership and wouldn't let us go any further. After about 20 mins of tapping and trying everything we could think of to move past this screen we just gave up. We even closed the app and signed back in, but it just kept returning to the same screen forcing us to sign up as a member and put my credit card in. I understand technical issues, but when it is stuck on the company's add where it is forcing me to sign up for your membership, it really pissed me off!! Like I said, we eventually gave up and just wondered around town and found our way back to the start. Also, as you go from place to place, there is no map feature the guides you. So even though they are fairly close, you need to have another phone to search for directions. Overall, it was a disappointing experience!
Response from the operator: Hi wadec928, We’re really sorry this happened—getting stopped near the end of your hunt by a membership screen is frustrating, and that’s not the experience we want for anyone. You should never be required to sign up for a membership to continue a scavenger hunt you’ve already purchased. What you described sounds like a technical glitch, and we’d like to make this right for you. Please reach out to us at support@letsroam.com with your booking details so we can review what happened, help you complete the hunt, or arrange an appropriate refund. We also appreciate your feedback about the navigation. While hunts are designed to be flexible and encourage exploration, we understand how a built-in map or clearer directions would improve the experience, and we’ve shared this with our product team. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review—we’d really value the chance to turn this around for you. Sincerely, Let’s Roam Team

Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt Milwaukee: A Splash of Color
Super fun Scavenger Hunt in downtown Milwaukee! The hunt took us through: The Pfister, St. John’s Cathedral, Grohman Museum, Red Arrow Park, City Hall, Pabst Theater, Betty Brinn Children’s Musuem, and the Mileaukre Art Museum. It took 1 hr 45 minutes and covered 2.6 miles!
Response from the operator: Hi there, We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the Milwaukee “A Splash of Color” scavenger hunt! It sounds like you covered a lot of ground and saw some amazing spots along the way. Thank you for sharing your experience, we hope to see you on another scavenger hunt soon! — The Let’s Roam Team

Team Building
This was our first time doing a scavenger hunt. We had a blast and it was a great team bonding experience. I would love to do it again.

Fun family activity
A great day to spend a few hours with family. I would rate it for families with older kids, it was quiet a bit of walking for younger kids.

A New Perspective (Learn and Have Fun while Getting Exercise!)
We chose the Kilbourne TownTreasure Trail Scavenger Hunt rather than the Splash of Color because we're fairly familiar with what's included in the latter. Learning about the architecture and the historic aspects of the Kilbourne area of the city was lots of fun and very interesting. We'll be back to do other Scavenger Hunts.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milwaukee.
How much does Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milwaukee usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milwaukee is not rushed.
Is Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milwaukee, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milwaukee can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milwaukee and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt: Milwaukee A Splash of Color start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milwaukee within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milwaukee?
+
Milwaukee runs brewery and distillery tours, Harley-Davidson Museum visits, Lake Michigan cruises, riverwalk kayaking and food tours through the Third Ward. On Outty we rank every Milwaukee experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Personal and Detailed Milwaukee Sightseeing Bus Tour, Old Milwaukee 9am E-Bike Tour, Skip the Line: Museum Admission Ticket - Grohmann Museum. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milwaukee?
+
May to September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milwaukee?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
