Download the application PRIOR to arriving on the island as the cell coverage is intermittent at best on the island and will not be the enjoyable experience this app offers. Take your own car. Make sure your phone can bluetooth this to your car radio or bring an external speaker so you can hear the narration, it is very educational and informative. I can't speak to how busy the island would be during peak times as we enjoyed our visit on a Monday and literally had the Island to ourselves. Take yout time! You do not have to rush through the entire tour there is plenty of time to stop and enjoy each and every stop along the way.

Does not work on my Android Phone
I downloaded the tour before arriving at Washington Island. After some playing around, I was able to get the tour started. The tour only worked for the first 3 stops. Once I left cellphone coverage the tour stopped working. I knew cellphone coverage on the island was limited. I assumed since I downloaded it ahead of time that I would be fine. I am very disappointed that this tour was sold for a location that it would not work, A total waste of money.

Great tour
Very informative . A little difficult at times due to very poor phone reception ((Verizon) and would not load to CarPlay! I would definitely print out the PDF before going. Otherwise a fun and very thorough way to visit island. Since ferry is only way to get there , I would suggest starting there and then go to welcome center!
