    Great little self guided tour!

Very easy to follow and very informative. It’s a great way to walk about the city and see things perhaps you may not encounter otherwise. Easy to understand. Definitely go inside the church to see the stained glass windows. Appreciate all the hard work to put this together.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re really glad that the walk gave you a deeper look into Zurich and allowed you to notice special corners of the city that are easy to miss on your own. It means a lot to us that the effort we put into the tour was valuable to you. Wishing you many more wonderful discoveries on your travels!

    I would suggest this activity.

This definitely got you walking around the town more than we would normally have, but the audio has a lot of filler facts or list of facts that don’t really add to the experience. I think it’s okay to do if you’re looking for some interesting facts about the city and it gives you an insight to the darker side of the city. I think it was just too dark for me because I’m sensitive to human rights, and there doesn’t seem to have been much of that back then.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We understand that exploring the darker aspects of the city’s past might not appeal to everyone. From our perspective, this tour not only delves into historical events but also serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of human rights and justice. By revealing these shadows from the past, we also aimed to inspire reflections on our present and future. We hope you enjoyed your time in the city and made some fascinating discoveries along the way!

We had to ask for assistance for the link to work and took long time to load . If Rick Steves would have been available would have done his tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Kim B, Sorry to hear that you had issues and thank you for this feedback. Loading time can be longer for those users, who have slow internet and here we unfortunately cannot help a lot. We appreciate your understanding and wish you a lot of great discoveries in the future.

    So-so great!

It was so great! I loved the tour. I could walk at my own pace, could read text in case of background noise or misunderstandings. I'm impatient to take another tour!

Response from the operator: Great to hear that you enjoyed the tour :) Our other tours for Zurich are currently in production and are expected to be ready in autumn of this year. Will be happy to see you among our clients again :).

Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.

How much does Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich cost?

    +

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.

Is Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Self-Guided Audio Tour to the Dark Side of Zurich start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zurich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zurich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zurich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
