    Crazy experience

A storm came out of nowhere while we were out on the water, making our trip back to the dock extremely difficult and scary. The waves were so strong that the boat nearly tipped over several times, but the entire crew remained calm, attentive, and made sure everyone was safe. I’m especially grateful to the boat driver, who handled the situation incredibly well and, honestly, may have saved our lives. Aside from the storm, the scuba diving was so much fun! Our instructor stayed with us the entire time, closely monitored our breathing, and made sure we felt comfortable and safe. I’m incredibly thankful for the whole team. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience!

Book Cabo Trek for diving - recommend the corridor

Excellent dive day. We did two dive sites in Cabo Corridor which we prefer to diving at pelican rock / marine park by the arch. Both sites were wonderful, but Blow Hole was fantastic wildlife, corals and topography. After 50+ dives definitely in the top 10. Our dive master and captain- Adriana and Adrian were absolutely fantastic. So kind and knowledgeable. The captain was very helpful getting us in and out of the water for the dives and safety aware as operator. We had some pretty rough seas coming back in the afternoon and he handled it with ease. Our dive master Adriana from Peru is also a marine biologist and was so helpful teaching us about the wildlife as well as getting our gear just right. We saw so many wonderful species turtles, huge guitar fish, devil rays, zebra eels. She was equally excited to see some of the more unique species as we were as visitors which made it so fun. Although we speak a little Spanish her English was so perfect it made our day easy. Finally the boat was the most comfortable and shaded boat we have dove from in Cabo. Clean, great seating and a real ladder. The ladders are important as my husband and I are getting older and some of the other boats just have narrow rails. This ladder had Handles and thick steps. We have dove with 2 other companies - one in Cabo San Lucas and one in the San Jose del Cabo marina and probably over 10 dive days with one or the other. Cabo Trek was above and beyond and will be our go to on our next visit in a few months.

Great dive, safe, lots of fish, saw the arch

I had a great time. I haven't been certified yet, but Gabo/Gabriel was a great guide to get me into the water. He offered a great class prior to entering the water and got me safely back to the harbor. We saw lots of fish, rays, eels and a shark. Thanks Gabo/Gabriel, Adrianna, and captain Adrian!

    Highly recommend!

I had never scuba dived before but I wanted to try it. So I signed up for a beginner dive with Cabo Trek. My instructor, Gavón, did an awesome job explaining everything to me and then was very patient as I learned the basics. He kept a close eye on me and made sure that I was doing OK. As we explored, he adjusted my equipment as needed. I felt very safe and was able to just concentrate on breathing. We saw so many things - a white tipped reef shark, all kinds of fish, oysters making pearls in a reef, lobsters, a flounder in the sea floor and more. It was all amazing. The boat ride is a short ride from the marina and they provided all the equipment. Beatríz in the Cabo Trek shop was really friendly and communicated with me in advance, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this tour. I tipped the guide, Gavón, but later realized that I forgot to tip the boat crew. Don't be me and remember to tip everyone that helps you!

Response from the operator: Hello Lee! Thank you so much for sharing your incredible first-time diving experience with us! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that Gavón made you feel safe and confident throughout the dive, and that Beatríz provided great communication. Spotting a white tipped reef shark and so much marine life on your very first dive is unforgettable! Thank you also for the wonderful shoutout to our hardworking boat crew, they truly appreciate it. We hope to welcome you back to the underwater world with Cabo Trek soon!

    Scuba Diving: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does Scuba Diving cost?

    +

Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Scuba Diving take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

    Is Scuba Diving worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 88 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Scuba Diving?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Scuba Diving suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Scuba Diving?

    +

Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Scuba Diving start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
