Very uncool thing to do for a private kids activity

Didnt show up at all. No prior contact or any notice, just didnt show. My daughter left crying. Not sure who does somethinh like this

Response from the operator: We are profoundly sorry and mortified to read about your experience from 2022. Failing to show up for a booking without notice is completely unacceptable, and we are utterly heartbroken to hear that your daughter was left crying because of a mistake on our part. As this took place a few years ago, we want to ensure that our team fully resolved this and processed your refund at the time. We take failures like this incredibly seriously and want to ensure your family was properly taken care of. Please accept our deepest, most sincere apologies for letting you down.

    Let down and poor service

Booked a Harry Potter taxi tour for my daughter’s 16th birthday months ago for 10 November. The company contacted me THE WEEK BEFORE to tell me they wouldn’t be able to do it because of Remembrance Sunday, they could do a different day instead. We had arranged this for months and the whole family were looking forward to it. The company showed no understanding of this and feel that they have provided good customer service in telling me I can cancel this event if I want to or celebrate my daughter’s birthday on a different day. They should have been aware of this date on this website and not allowed me to book in the first place. And shown some remorse and understanding of the situation I now find myself in. I now have less than a week to arrange a different event for my daughter’s 16th as I definitely won’t be using this company again.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback, and please accept our most sincere apologies for the distress and disappointment this situation caused your family, especially ahead of your daughter’s milestone 16th birthday. We completely understand your frustration regarding the timing of our notice. Because Remembrance Sunday involves extensive, city-wide road closures and security restrictions across central London, navigating a driving tour safely and effectively becomes impossible. We are truly sorry that this major event was not flagged in our booking system earlier to prevent you from reserving that specific date months in advance. Our team's intention in offering an alternative date or a full cancellation was to provide options under difficult circumstances, but we deeply regret that our communication felt dismissive or lacked the empathy and remorse you deserved during such a stressful week. We take your feedback very seriously and are updating our seasonal booking calendar to ensure significant London events like Remembrance Sunday are blocked out much further in advance. We wish your daughter a very happy 16th birthday despite this disruption.

Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London cost?

    +

Prices start at $520 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 39 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour: Half Day Harry Potter Black Taxi Tour of London start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
