Thus, the drink conserves the original sweetness of the grapes maintaining a high level of alcohol. The idea of putting brandy in the wine came in the seventeenth century, when English merchants were interested in buying Portuguese wines, but these wines could not stand the long journeys in the ships that carried them. From there they had the idea of starting to strengthen them with brandy so that they did not spoil.

    Beautiful

A perfect guide, a perfect day, perfectly orchestrated. Ability to enjoy & see Porto., Fatima and the final stop, although late, allowed us plenty of time for an uncrowded experience.

Private Tour full day Lisbon to Porto

We loved our private tour with George! He took us in a very comfortable van from Lisbon to Porto and we stopped in Obidos, Nazaré, Fátima, and Coimbra along the way. He was very knowledgeable and a great guide for us. He showed us the best spots for food, pictures, and history. Since it was a private tour, we had a lot of flexibility and I loved that he didn’t rush us and allowed us enough time in each place that we wanted to see. The whole day was from 8:30am to about 6pm. This tour is absolutely worth it! The prices are very fair and you really can’t beat them. Would definitely book with them again in a heartbeat!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review... it was a pleasure to have you traveling with us, our Guide Jorge is fantastic and works with a lot of passion and love for Portugal, always thinking of the best for our guests.. I´m so proud to have Jorge on my Team... Regards Eusébio Lima

    Long day, but worth it!

This was the longest tour we took on our trip to Portugal, but it was definitely worth it to get to see some of the Portuguese countryside, Fatima, Porto, and Obidos. Our guide, Jorge, has a degree in history and is extremely knowledgeable. He filled our day with very interesting information about all of the places we visited and Portuguese history in general. We appreciated that he asked about our goals for the day and adjusted the itinerary to make sure we saw what was of most interest to us. He also made sure to include bathroom pitstops and took us to a lovely restaurant in Porto for lunch, which had seafood options for my husband and vegan options for me. We arrived in Fatima before the crowds and Obidos after the crowds, and this certainly enhanced our experience. Fatima is impressive, and Porto and Obidos look like they are out of a fairytale. We learned so much and appreciate everything Jorge did to make sure we had an interesting and enjoyable day.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review... We are very happy that you enjoyed traveling with us and our Fantastic Guide George. We are extremely proud to show our country to those who visit us. Recommend Portugal to your friends. Big hug from Portugal

How much does Private Tour Full Day Fátima - Porto - Óbidos - from Lisbon cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour Full Day Fátima - Porto - Óbidos - from Lisbon take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private Tour Full Day Fátima - Porto - Óbidos - from Lisbon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour Full Day Fátima - Porto - Óbidos - from Lisbon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour Full Day Fátima - Porto - Óbidos - from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour Full Day Fátima - Porto - Óbidos - from Lisbon start and how do I get there?

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
