Awesome Experience
Marin was an outstanding tour guide. He was extremely thorough, professional, and detail-oriented throughout the entire tour. His explanations were clear and informative, and it was obvious he had a deep knowledge of the area and its history. Marin took great care to make sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone felt comfortable and engaged. He shared interesting insights, pointed out details we would have otherwise missed, and was very patient and approachable. His passion and pride in his work truly elevated the experience. I would highly recommend Marin to anyone looking for a well-organized, informative, and high-quality tour.

I am touched that my passion for the region and the history behind our traditions helped make your trip special. Ensuring that my guests feel comfortable and engaged is always my top priority, and I’m so glad that resonated with you. I hope you took some wonderful memories back to L.A. with you! A must do excursion!!!
Martin is a one of a kind in this industry. So informative, patient, and allows you to do things at your pace and never feel rushed. This experience is a MUST DO if you are in the area. It is a full day excursion with some driving, but the sites during the drive are breath taking! And then the Chocolate factory and Cheese factory experiences were exceptional.....AND TASTY :). Plenty of time to taste and buy some souvenirs. And then we had the best weather and views to ride up to the mountain top for even more spectacular views! Just amazing! Overall, PLEASE choose this excursion. It is worth your time and money to have this one of a kind experience. Thank you Martin!!!
Response from the operator: Hi Nick! Thank you so much for this incredible review. It was such a pleasure hosting the four of you—Florida definitely brought some sunshine and great humor to the Swiss mountains! I’m so glad you enjoyed the pace of the tour and that the weather played along for those Säntis views. You were a 'one of a kind' group to spend the day with. Hope the chocolate and cheese souvenirs made it home safely! Warm regards to the whole group, Martin.

Great day out of Zurich...
Great day out of Zurich to visit the beauty of Switzerland. Exceeded my expectations. Our driver, Martin, was very accommodating and friendly. He accommodated my Mother’s slower pace and we were able to see so much and the 8000 foot view with lunch at the top of the gondola was amazing! The drive through the countryside and farms was lovely. The cheese and chocolate factories were self guided tours.
Response from the operator: Dear Laurelyn, Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m very happy to hear that your day trip from Zurich exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed the beauty of Switzerland—from the peaceful countryside to the incredible 8,000-foot view at Säntis. It was a pleasure to have you and your mother on the tour. I’m glad the pace was comfortable for her and that you were both able to fully enjoy each stop,. Your kind words mean a lot to me. Thank you again for choosing this tour, and I hope to welcome you back to Switzerland one day for more adventures! Warm regards, Martin

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.
How much does Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up cost?
+
Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.
Is Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Swiss Chocolate, Cheese, Mountain Tour with Hotel Pick-Up start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zurich?
+
On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zurich?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zurich?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
