    Waterfalls instead of white knuckles

This tour was definitely a highlight of my Maui vacation. Our tour guide Marty had an extensive knowledge of the area. He causally asked about our backgrounds and focused on locations and facts that we might be more interested about. He made sure all of us had a great time and plenty of water. The road itself is so very beautiful and not to be missed. As a solo traveler I highly recommend having someone else handle the driving on this beautiful twisted road so you can take it all in. The whole tour process including arrangements, lunch, and hotel pick up went smoothly. I will definitely keep this company’s name in my back pocket for all my future visits to Maui.

Response from the operator: 🌺 Mahalo for choosing Stardust Hawaii, Josephine🚐✨ We’re so happy to hear your Road to Hana tour with Marty was a highlight of your Maui vacation. His personalized approach and deep local knowledge truly make the journey special 🌿💧. You’re absolutely right—letting us handle the driving means you can relax and enjoy every breathtaking view 😌🌈. We’d be honored to welcome you back on your next visit to Maui! 🌴😊

A Maui must; Road to Hana trip

This was truly a trip to remember. Quinn was our guide and driver and his knowledge and kindness made this experience extra special. We started our day with a pick up at our hotel shortly before 6 AM and we returned at about 4 PM. There were 3 other couples and a solo visitor in the spacious Mercedes Sprinter. Quinn narrated the trip while navigating a very challenging road, and we were able to take in the beautiful scenery with complete confidence in Quinn’s skilled driving. The trip included a light lunch, swims at the “swirling pigs falls” and at the Black Sand Beach, and other stops along the route to sample the local culture. Thank you Quinn for a fantastic day in Maui.

Response from the operator: Aloha, we are truly happy we could be a part of your Hawaii vacation and help you to create wonderful memories. Mahalo for riding with us and we hope you can visit again.

    Quinn 5 stars!

My wife and I stayed in Kahana but had to go to the Westin to get picked up. I think someone should’ve told us that we could park in the public parking spaces about 200 feet past the hotel lobby rather than talk to the valet. The valet had no idea what to do so we called the company and they referred us to the public parking space. This was the only mishap Quinn was our driver and he was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and the weather cooperated with us the entire trip. Depending on the group in our bus, it determined how long we wanted to stay at each of the stops. Quinn was very considerate and I would definitely recommend him for any trips in the future.

Response from the operator: Aloha James and bug mahalo for your feedback! We are happy you had a great time!

    Don't mess up your vacation!

The information regaurding pickups are incorrect as we were told and recieved itinerary stating Stardust picked up at all major hotels in Kihei and when we recieved out itinerary it stated we needed to call to schedual our pick up but then when we called we were told we had to meet the Stardust Tour at a Park and ride almost 10 miles away and we were told to pre schedual a ride share that was in addition to the $437.50 ticket price, 15% requested gatuaty, and then an aditional $70.00 ride share as there are no car rentals after covid. Don't wait till 48 hours before your big trip to find out all this information which should be updated regularly. There are lots of reputable tours that do pickup from all the major Kihei hotels. Don't waste hours of valuable vacation time trying to orchestrated non existing pickups with this company.

Response from the operator: Aloha, we very clearly display our pickup points and on top of that, you didn't even sign for a private tour with us. We can't be responsible if you did not read it correctly and I understand your frustration. Your review is not valid as you are rating your negligence to read instead of the excursion itself. Mahalo

Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Maui.

How much does Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter cost?

    +

Prices start at $2960 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Maui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Maui is not rushed.

Is Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Maui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Maui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Maui and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Road to Hana or any Maui destination in Luxury Mercedes Sprinter start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Maui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Maui?

    +

Maui's three signature days are the Hana road, the Haleakala summit sunrise and the Molokini snorkel sail, and all three are logistics problems as much as experiences. Sunrise summit entry is permit-controlled, Hana is a ten-hour driving day, and Molokini boats vary wildly in size. Our ranking rewards operators who handle permits and keep boat capacity low. On Outty we rank every Maui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Molokini Crater + South Maui Coast Adventure from Kihei, Maui, Maui: VIP Private Road to Hana Tour with Pick Up, Road to Hana Adventure Maui Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Maui?

    +

April to May and September to October. Whale season runs December to April. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Maui?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
