About this experience

The Private Gin Safari takes your group on a juniper-fuelled jaunt across London to reveal a story of gritty social history and the city’s turbulent affair with its favourite tipple. As we wobble our way around picturesque Dickensian architecture, libations of ‘mothers ruin’ will be served from our GinCycle™, a rickety Victorian gin parlour on wheels. The Gin Safari celebrates the eccentric and all that is best about the British. Think of it as a liquid history lesson on bicycles, with laughs and banter along the way. Expect a gentle cycle, bustling food markets, colourful graffiti, fabulous views, interesting insights, crude jokes, and, of course, plenty of gin tasting!

Gin glorious gin!

Fabulous social history/ gin tasting tour with Shibby biking through delightful quiet streets of Bermondsey and beyond to the Thames itself: Shibby was an exemplary host, we sampled five or six different gins and delicious artisanal tonics in historic locations: An absolutely wonderful afternoon - unmissable,

Gin & Markets tour!

Fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Would thoroughly recommend this tour/company to everyone! Both Mike and Tristan were great tour guides, very knowledgable, helpful and patient. We will definitely return to try out one of their other tours and will highly recommend everyone we know to do the same. Thanks for a great day Tally Ho!

Tally Ho Gin Tour!!

What a super way to see London!! Tristan, our guide was very entertaining and great fun but also delivered the historic facts in an enthralling and interesting way. My friend and I have both lived in London and without a doubt this is a great day out for locals and tourists. The gin was great and for anyone who doubts the combination of gin and lovely vintage bikes - don't....it really works. Tally Ho!!

Group Gin Cycle for Hen

We came on Saturday as a group of 15 as part of my sisters hen do, A great time was had by all, We opted for a shorter 2 hour tour which was perfect for us, Mick our Guide was great fun and very interesting, the gin was delish! we cycled whilst England played in the world cup, the streets were deserted! but they choose back roads anyway so don't worry. Jack was also very helpful when booking, and very accommodating with me chopping and changing numbers and times.

Fantastic Tour with Mick

We booked this on a whim because we had an extra day in London and it ended up being one of our favorite memories of our time there. Mick does a great job of hitting some of the classic 'tourist' spots like the Tower Bridge and the original location of The Globe, but also showed us some wonderful areas we never would have found on our own. It's a great way to spend a few hours exploring a different side of London than you might see otherwise!

Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt cost?

+

Prices start at $83 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt take?

+

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private London Gin Safari: A Spirited, Juniper-Fuelled Jaunt start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

+

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

+

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
