Medan
Our driver will pick you up at 7am from your hotel centrally located Medan. Start your journey to Bukit Lawang, after 4 hour scenic journey you will reach at Bukit Lawang. Driver doesn't Speak English but you should not worry , Once you reached at Bukit Lawang our professional tour guide receive you at National park.

Then start your trekking tour with our experienced guide. Walk through the jungle looking for orangutans, discovering medicinal plants, and learning about their use. With a lot of up and down the hills to give you an enough exercise you are guaranteed to have a best day ever doing this activity with the team. At around noon there will be a short break for lunch in the jungle, with the rest of the trek continuing after. If you feel too tired to walk back, you can combine tube rafting floating down the river back to Bukit Lawang. After finish the tour our driver will drop off you at your hotel accommodation in centrally located Medang. We may also assist you for 1 night accommodation at Bukit Lawang. It will cost you extra which you can pay cash.

Jungle trek, jungle trek, in Bukit Lawang ;)
Started the day early with a safe and speedy transfer from Medan to the Bukit Lawang area. Had a quick morning tea and off we went to the jungle! Our guides, Rafli and Haikal, were just two chill guys full of jokes who kept the whole trip super fun! The hike was tough at parts with tall stone steps but the guides were always around to lend a helping hand. And it was all worth it when we managed to see the three orangutans in the treetops, among a whole bunch of other animals! (but my newfound favourite monkey is definitely the Thomas Leaf Monkey :) Lunch and a giant fruit platter were served in the jungle by our trusty guides. Then we ended the trek with the best part - the river tube ride! The water was cooling and so welcoming after the sweat of the hike. It was a safer version of white water rafting, but just as fun and exciting, expertly driven by our tube master Anton. Then we ended the day with a nice tall glass of coffee at Salju Coffee before heading back to Medan :)) overall a great experience, and a must-do for anyone visiting Medan!

If you just want to see orangutans, this is a great tour, seemingly pretty family friendly as well. We were able to get heart poundingly close to a male orangutan on ours. Our guides were both nice and helped us get good angles of wildlife, as well as going out of their way to make sure we saw a certain monkey that we were excited for. I can’t in good conscience however give this more than a 1 star. Our first orangutan encounter was before we even stepped into the park, the guides pointed them out and a big crowd of people gathered to take pictures. At this point all of the “professional guides” took out their cigarettes and began smoking right underneath the same tree the animals were on. Most of these guides also seem to be just young locals and not professionals compared to literally all the other guides we’ve had on our Indonesia trip. This smoking continued throughout our entire experience. All throughout the park. Seeing the animals get secondhand smoke from the very people that should be the ones to care for them and see them every day was honestly disgusting. This seems to be normal in this park unfortunately. We saw orangutans in Borneo on this Indonesia trip and it was a night and day difference between the level of professionalism and care those rangers have for the wildlife over there compared to here. I would not support any Orangutan tours in Bukit Lewang.

Pickup from the hotel in quality car spot on time. My guide was Kian Lesmana, very knowledgeable and very good English to be your perfect guide for this private tour where we saw a lot of wild life . During the tour I got amazing fresh fruit and afterwards lunch. Highly recommendable and I’m very pleased this is a local business. Good job for this awesome day! Keep going!

It's a great experience , get to see the orangutans, I was very lucky. Rifan our guide was amazing , he explains a lot about the area and the orangutans, they provide a nice lunch and the best fruit table, thanks
