Amazing chefs!! Food was delicious

Incredible Private Dinner Experience
Jair and his sous chef were incredible. Not only punctual, organized, and professional but very kind. It was great to have them in our Airbnb for a private dinner where they cooked a menu we selected from. ALL of the food was incredible and large portions. You can do family style or service style. And they brought cocktails as well. Just a perfect experience to round out the end of the trip, I can’t recommend enough.

Tulum Chef’s Dinner
Stayed in a really nice Air BNB and decided to get chef’s service. We were amazed and the timely communication, prompt arrivals and preparation of all the meals we had. The food was amazing quality! The chef provided a cocktail hour as well as walked us through the traditional preparations of the dishes and historical aspects. This is definitely the way to go!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! I am so glad you enjoyed the meals, the cocktail hour, and learning about our traditional dishes and history. It was an absolute pleasure cooking for you at your Airbnb.

Top Chef in Tulum
A++ service and quality food. Jair and his team were professional and tidy. They accommodate our group of 7. All of the brunch prepared was well seasoned and fresh. Highly recommend the add on mixologist. We had Angel for 3 hours open bar and he was the best. Entertained us. Made custom drinks.

Awesome Experience
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our private chef experience with Chef Jair and his team in Tulum was absolutely incredible! From the moment they arrived at our Airbnb, everything was handled with professionalism and attention to detail. They arrived on time, and the setup was beautiful, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special evening with friends. The food was outstanding—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Chef Jair and his crew delivered a restaurant-quality dining experience right in the comfort of our Airbnb. To top it all off, the margaritas were some of the best I’ve ever tasted! The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the entire evening exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting Tulum and looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend Chef Jair and his team. This was truly a five-star experience with five-star service, and it was one of the highlights of our trip.
Response from the operator: Muchas gracias por sus amables palabras! Fue un placer cocinar para ustedes y crear esa noche especial. Nos llena de alegría saber que superamos sus expectativas, desde la comida hasta las margaritas. ¡Esperamos verlos pronto en Tulum!

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Chef Experience in Tulum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Private Chef Experience in Tulum cost?
+
Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Chef Experience in Tulum take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Private Chef Experience in Tulum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 57 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Chef Experience in Tulum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Chef Experience in Tulum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Chef Experience in Tulum?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Chef Experience in Tulum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
