A MUST DO experience! We visited in May 2026, the hike on Koroyanitu National Park to the waterfall and the cultural meal experience in the Abaca village were GREAT experiences. The hike was a wonderful loop full of AMAZING scenery and views. Our village hostess was very welcoming. This was a true highlight of our trip, and as stated we believe this is an absolute must do when in Fiji!

Great hike, waterfall, and lunch! Such a wonderful day! Ravu is a great host and driver and Pena was an excellent guide for the hike! The hike was absolutely gorgeous and wow, the waterfall!!! Sooo beautiful and fun to swim at the base of. Lunch in the village was wonderful, everything was delicious and generously presented. Our hostess for the lunch, Lisa, was very kind and the meal was a treat! This was a very special day getting to experience some gorgeous Fijian nature. Highly recommend.

Beautiful strenuous hike and nice lunch.
The waterfall hike was more strenuous than we anticipated, but it was absolutely beautiful and it was so nice to cool off in the waterfall at the top of the hike. The lunch was authentic and very educational and cultural. As others stated, if you leave your western ideas behind, it is a great lunch. For the hike, be prepared for crossing streams, potential getting wet, steep wet trails and hot sun. We were picked up at the Marriott Momi Bay, which was further away from the hike than expected, so it was a two hour car ride each way.
Response from the operator: Vinaka Vakalevu for sharing your kind feedback on your experience on booking our private waterfall tour.. Appreciate alot. Thank you for supporting our small family business suporting also little local village community who are the landowners of the beautiful mountains abd waterfalls of where we always do our breathtaking hikes. Fiji inland hike
This was the perfect way for me to spend a day when on my first short trip to Fiji . Peni collected me promptly from my hotel in Nadi and I was made welcome and felt comfortable immediately . He was a charming and generous host , sharing both personal and wider history, culture and hospitality of his beautiful island and its highland villages. We did a wonderful hike in the national park , up through forest, across rivers, up to waterfalls and extraordinary vantage points where you could see for miles across the sea to the far flung islands . We saw plenty of birdlife including parrots at close quarter . We had a traditional meal together in the village and it was fascinating to see and hear how life is in the villages up in the hills ( and good to know the trip costs are dispersed among those living there ). We drove back through Lautoka and along the coast via First Landing . A most wonderful day and with so much seen and learned .
Response from the operator: Bula Vinaka Mr Lionel Thank you so much for your kind reviews knowing you did enjoyed all the authentic experiences we shared. It is my absolute pleasure indeed looking after you the whole day and make sure you enjoyed the whole experience and I'm grateful you did. I did enjoyed it too. Vinaka vakalevu. I wish you well with your family and would looking forward welcoming you again to Fiji if you would happen to make it to Fiji again. God bless my friend 🙂

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Viti Levu.
How much does Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike cost?
+
Prices start at $188 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Viti Levu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Viti Levu is not rushed.
Is Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Viti Levu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Viti Levu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Viti Levu and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Breathtaking Koroyanitu Half Day Waterfall Hike start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Viti Levu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Viti Levu?
+
On Outty we rank every Viti Levu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cruisin’ Fiji: Monuriki, Mana Sand Bar & Snorkelling Day Cruise, River Tubing Fiji, Navua River, Naihehe Cave Safari in Sigatoka with BBQ Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Viti Levu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Viti Levu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
