A great day with Rakesh
We spent a wonderful day with our guide Rakesh. He was very thorough and thoughtful managing our day efficiently. We started at the port with a timely pick up and immediately went to the mud pools to stay ahead of the larger tour groups. From there we went to the gardens, the Hindi temple and finished the day in Nadi with some retail therapy. He was an excellent and very personable host who kept us entertained with history, stories, and good conversation as we drove around the area. The private tour was perfect for our one day stay in Lautoka. I highly recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Bula Vinaka, Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a great day with Rakesh. It’s fantastic that he was able to plan your itinerary so efficiently, starting early at the mud pools and ensuring you enjoyed each stop comfortably, including the gardens, the Hindu temple, and your time in Nadi for some shopping. We’re especially pleased to know his stories, history, and friendly personality made your private tour even more enjoyable. Providing a smooth, personalised experience for cruise guests visiting Lautoka is exactly what we aim for. Thank you for your high recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again in Fiji. Not a private tour as advertised
I booked this as a private tour for two people, and chose a starting time of 9am. A couple of days beforehand the time was changed to 9.30am (not a big issue), but on meeting Rakesh as arranged, he arrived in a minivan and was waiting for six other people (three couples) to join us. We were all expecting a private tour and pointed this out to Rakesh. After a discussion he made some phone calls and said that after the first stop we would each be given a driver. This happened, so we did eventually have a private tour, but we were the last couple to be allocated a driver. Our driver was friendly enough, but we got the feeling of being driven around rather being on a tour. It was a very disappointing experience for the amount we paid.
Response from the operator: Bula Ken, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologise for the confusion and disappointment you experienced at the start of your tour. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to expect a private tour and initially find yourself placed in a shared vehicle, especially after confirming a specific start time. This situation does not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide, and we regret that the arrangements were not correctly communicated or executed from the outset. While we are glad that the matter was resolved and that you were ultimately provided with a private driver as booked, we acknowledge that the delay and overall experience fell short of your expectations and did not deliver the value you deserved. Your comments have been taken very seriously and have been shared with our management and operations team to ensure clearer coordination and to prevent this from happening again in the future. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We truly appreciate it, as it helps us improve our services. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with the quality private tour experience we are known for. Vinaka vakalevu and kind regards, Golf Tours Fiji Team

Disappointing and overpriced.
Booked as a private tour, started out with 4 couples, all of whom also booked it as a private tour. Rakesh tried to explain that sue to being very busy he thought grouping together would be ok. Everyone was unhappy and at the first stop, Indian Temple, 4 separate cars were provided. However, these were just very ordinary vehicles, not very clean and provided no water etc. This was not what was envisaged and paid for. Our driver, Chitra, was very knowledgeable which did save part of the day. Visit to village was just a drive by and first landing point was just a restaurant and bar. All in all very disappointing and definitely not worth the money paid. Cannot reccommend.
Response from the operator: Bula Robert, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment you experienced, particularly as the tour was booked and paid for as a private experience. Grouping multiple couples together, even temporarily, was not appropriate and did not meet the expectations set at the time of booking. We fully understand your frustration and regret the poor communication and execution at the start of the tour. We are also sorry that the vehicles provided after the first stop did not reflect the standard expected of a private tour, including cleanliness and amenities, and that parts of the itinerary did not align with what was envisaged. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to deliver, and your comments have been escalated to our management team for immediate review and improvement. That said, we are pleased to hear that Chitra’s knowledge and professionalism helped save part of the experience, and we will be sure to pass on your kind words to her. Thank you again for your honest feedback, it is invaluable in helping us improve, and we hope you may consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide the quality experience our guests expect. It is Fiji Time, no hurrys, no worries. Fantastic Shore Excursion!
What a fantastic shore excursion! Shivaan picked us up right outside the pier gate. We enjoyed seeing the Nadi Temple, the Local Fruit Market and the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. But the best part of the day was relaxing in the Hot Springs. It is Fiji Time, no hurrys, no worries. Thank you for a great day!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Viti Levu.
How much does Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village cost?
+
Prices start at $133 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Viti Levu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Viti Levu is not rushed.
Is Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Viti Levu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Viti Levu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Viti Levu and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Lautoka Shore Excursion including Viseisei Village start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Viti Levu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Viti Levu?
+
On Outty we rank every Viti Levu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cruisin’ Fiji: Monuriki, Mana Sand Bar & Snorkelling Day Cruise, River Tubing Fiji, Navua River, Naihehe Cave Safari in Sigatoka with BBQ Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Viti Levu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Viti Levu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
