    Expensive boat ride

Not worth the for what you get : a boat ride to the island which you could do with a Group. The guide could barely speak any English although he was friendly , He didn’t really have any information on Capri ir AnaCapri or anything else. Didn’t want to go to the blue grotto because he said the wait was too long

Response from the operator: We are sorry that you think poorly of our rental. During the tour if you had any problems you could have contacted us instead from the messages you sent us when you were in Anacapri everything seemed ok. Tony is always thoughtful and kind to customers, he provides all the detailed information about the attractions that there are to see at sea, if you wanted to have a tour guide to visit the heart of the island and Anacapri during your free time, unfortunately we don't offer this service, you should have also booked a private guide, our skipper will give you explanations on the caves and attractions that can be visited by sea. As for the Blue Grotto, it was very crowded in the morning so the skipper had decided to show it to you in the afternoon in agreement with you when you would have returned from the center of Capri and Anacapri at 3.30pm. Unfortunately you returned on board 2 hours late, you had to return at 15.30 instead you returned at 17.30 so the Grotto was closed. The skipper brought you back to Positano 2 hours late and you didn't want to pay for the extra hours. Also, you were rude on board as you showed no respect for the boat and the skipper.

    Best day of our trip

The boat hire is not cheap, but it is totally worth it. They were very flexible with pickup and drop off, with the captain going everywhere we wanted. I know it seems expensive, but they are priced fairly when compared to other private boat trips and being on your own boat is totally worth it. Our captain spoke adequate English, was incredibly polite and patient providing information/history od things as we asked. He knew the best spots to go around Capri. Our boat was comfortable and easily big enough for 8. They had towels, goggles and drinks for us. The boat was photogenic for those wanting Insta shots. The only downside of the whole day was the recommended restaurant on Capri was very expensive, but I had read that in other reviews so at least expected it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed and honest review! We’re happy to hear the flexibility, comfort, and personalized service made it the best day of your trip. We appreciate your feedback about the restaurant as well and thank you for choosing us. We hope to welcome you back on board again soon!

    Excellent private boat tour

Tony was our private boat skipper for the day. He was excellent. The boat was clean and free drinks were provided. I highly recommend splurging and booking a private boat tour while in the Amalfi Coast.

Response from the operator: Thank you. We hope to see you again. Best regards

Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.

How much does Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $1123 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.

Is Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Positano to Capri Private Boat Tour – Scenic Mediterranean Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Positano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Positano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
