If it's your first time to Positano, do this tour!
A group of us did Zia Lucy's Positano Walking Tour in the afternoon the day we arrived. Since we were all first-timers to Positano, this turned out to be a great plan as it helped us to get oriented. Lucy (AKA Lucia) is the nicest person and we really enjoyed hearing about the area by a true local and someone whose family has been in the area for several generations. In addition to learning a lot of cool information about the area, we got some great shopping & dining tips as well.

Great way to explore Positano
We booked a private walking tour of Positano on our arrival day, after a long trip from the United States. Liby came to our hotel to meet us and was waiting for us exactly on time. Liby was very informative and we had the added bonus of her local knowledge. The tour was exactly what we needed and exceeded our expectations. Liby gave us names of restaurants to visit, shopping spots and of course, the history of Positano. We highly recommend this tour for first time visitors.

Fabulous Positano Walking Food Tour! A must
We booked the walking food tour with Lucy the 2nd night in Positano and it was perfect to get an overview of the city, culture, and restaurants. Lucy was a great guide and arranged for several great food and wine tastings. I highly recommend booking this early during your stay n Positano as it will make the remainder of your trip better. Lucy is from the area and knows everyone, she is charming and knowledgable. We consider her one of our friends now. I definite must for anyone.

Excellent Tour, Exceptional Guide
Have been to Positano before but never stayed there. Staying there makes a huge difference. Having Lucy guided us thru this amazing town was perfect. She told us the history of Positano as we walked and ate some amazing food. We discovered some great historical sites and some of the best places for cheese (we had to buy some to take home it was so good), gelato, pastries, wines and a fantastic restaurant under the main Street. Lucy is an amazing guide, she has definitely chosen the perfect job for her. She is very knowledgeable, personabable, and helpful. There was one other couple, so it made the tour very personable and easy to hear and enjoy all that was planned for us. Would recommend this tour if only visiting for the day or if you are starting in Positano for a few days, a great way to get to see and know this beautiful, amazing town

Too short,not worth it
Guide was nice and informative, but the 2-3 hour tour with tastings listed in the tour description lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes and included only gelato. Not worth the money.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Positano Walking tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Positano Walking tour cost?
+
Prices start at $71 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Positano Walking tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Positano Walking tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Positano Walking tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Positano Walking tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Positano Walking tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Positano Walking tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
