Joe Banana private driver Amalfi coast tour
We had a magnificent 8 hour experience having a private driver, take us to the Amalfi Coast from our Sorrento hotel, and back with Joe Banana limo service… Our driver Pasquale Santarpia was the best… He gave us a lot of suggestions and pointed out and gave us such interesting and informative facts about all the points of interest along the way… He is very friendly and answered all the questions that we had…. He is a very skillful driver and handled the traffic and narrow roads exceptionally well . I highly recommend having Pasquale as your driver if you can request him… He really knows the area and got us to our destinations, smoothly and safely… Thank you Pasquale for an amazing experience!!!

From Driver to Friend: The Absolute Best Part of Our Trip
If you are planning a trip to Italy, do yourself a favor and book with Banana Joe Tours—and specifically request Giulio! Giulio was originally booked to chauffeur us from Rome to Meta and handle our return transfer, but he completely elevated our trip. From the moment we met him, he was extraordinarily polite, sweet, kind, and professional. Navigating Italian traffic can be intense, but Giulio made us feel completely safe, comfortable, and well cared for every mile of the way. We loved our time with him so much that we decided to add an Amalfi Coast tour to our itinerary, and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our entire vacation. He knew all the best local stops, hidden gems, and breathtaking viewpoints along the coast, perfectly capping off our tour with an unforgettable wine tasting at a wonderful vineyard. Over the six-plus hours we spent together, we didn't just get a driver—we made a great friend, and Giulio genuinely became one of the absolute best parts of our journey. We cannot recommend Giulio and Banana Joe Tours highly enough for all your private travel, transfer, and excursion needs!

Amazing day trip
We had an amazing day exploring Salerno, the Amalfi Coast, and Pompeii with our driver, Fergi! From start to finish, he made the experience unforgettable, Fergi was an excellent driver, kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating. He happily loaded and unloaded a wheelchair for one of our family members and was always patient and thoughtful, making sure everyone was comfortable throughout the day. He was fun, upbeat, a fantastic communicator, and shared so much knowledge about the region, its history, and Italian culture. His recommendations and insights truly enhanced our experience. We highly recommend Joe Banana and especially Fergi if you’re looking for a memorable, stress-free private tour in Italy.Thank you for an incredible day.

An amazing tour of the Amalfi Coast
Danilo was an outstanding guide and driver. He customized our tour because our ship was leaving rather early that day and really offered us the best of the Amalfi Coast. He was punctual, flexible and funny! We would definitely recommend him to family and friends. Thanks Danilo!

Why this scores 89
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $127 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 143 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour?
+
Around 50 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amalfi Coast in Full Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
