Unique pasta, making experience
It was a wonderful experience and we loved knowing that their family is so connected to the area and the food. We had so much fun meeting new people and learning how to make pasta in a very unusual way. Everyone was amazing.

This is an experience I will never forget and one I’ll treasure forever. ❤️🇮🇹
I’ve always wanted to take a cooking class, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to experience it than Positano, Italy. 🇮🇹🍝✨ From the moment we arrived, Emily made the experience feel so personal and special. Hearing her share stories about her grandmother and how she continues to use her grandmother’s recipes to teach others made the experience truly unforgettable. ❤️ This didn’t feel like a typical cooking class—it felt like being invited into an Italian family’s home for Sunday dinner, helping Grandma in the kitchen, laughing, cooking, and creating memories together. 🥹🍅🍝 And of course, the food was absolutely AMAZING! Everything we made was delicious, but the experience itself was what made it so special. Add the breathtaking Positano views, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. 🌊☀️ Thank you, Emily, for sharing your family’s traditions, stories, recipes, and love of Italian cooking with us. This is an experience I will never forget and one I’ll treasure forever. ❤️🇮🇹 If you’re visiting Positano, this cooking class is an absolute MUST!
Response from the operator: Your words truly touched my heart. ❤️ I honestly don’t even know how to thank you for such a beautiful and heartfelt message. For me, this is so much more than a cooking class. Every recipe I share carries a piece of my grandmother, my family, my childhood, and the traditions I grew up with. Knowing that you felt that love, that you felt welcomed like part of our family, and that this experience became such a special memory for you means more to me than I could ever put into words. 🥹❤️ My grandmother taught me that food is not only about what we put on the table—it’s about love, family, stories, laughter, and the memories we create together. Being able to keep her traditions alive and share them with wonderful people from all over the world is one of the greatest gifts of my life. 🇮🇹🍝 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing to spend this special time with me, for cooking, laughing, sharing stories, and becoming a little part of our family here in Positano. Your beautiful words are something I will treasure, and I know my grandmother would be so proud to see her recipes continuing to bring people together. ❤️ I hope that whenever you make these dishes again, they bring you right back to Positano—to the sunshine, the sea, the laughter in the kitchen, and this beautiful day we shared together. 🌊☀️🍅🍝 Thank you, truly, from my heart to yours. You will always have a little Italian family waiting for you here in Positano. ❤️🇮🇹 With all my love and gratitude, Emily ❤️

Not so much hands on cooking, more a lovely dining experience
Overall this was a pleasant and enjoyable evening, beautiful food and family history but a few slightly misleading parts of the description which I feel if changed would benefit. The house was 25 minutes outside of main centre of Positano which we didn’t expect but the family were very helpful with helping with meet up point and parking. Unfortunately we did not have a tour of the garden or pick the food and we did not get to do any cooking as such. We did see some of the garden from the balcony though. We were shown how to make spaghetti not ravioli and each had a go at turning the handle and having a try but we were not shown how to cook this afterwards. However a PDF was provided afterwards. We were provided with a lovely starter, two mains and we made a tiramisu desert together which was delicious. Thank you
Response from the operator: I am deeply sorry to read your review, and I must admit that I also find it genuinely upsetting. What we welcome people into is not simply a “cooking class.” This is my family home, my family’s history, and above all, the tradition and knowledge of my grandmother that I have chosen to preserve and share with people from all over the world. Every dish, every recipe and every story comes from something deeply personal to us. For this reason, it is very sad to see the experience reduced to a checklist of activities that you feel you did or did not receive. Our home is in Positano, but like many family homes in this area, it is not located in the crowded tourist centre. We always do everything possible to assist our guests with the meeting point, directions and parking, as we did with you. Regarding the experience itself, you were welcomed into our home, introduced to our family traditions, shown the preparation of fresh handmade pasta, given the opportunity to work with the pasta yourself, and together we prepared tiramisu. You were then served a complete homemade meal prepared with care and based on the traditions of our family. You also received the recipes afterwards so that you could recreate what you learned at home. I am sorry that the garden visit and some elements did not correspond to what you expected, and I will certainly take your comments regarding the description into consideration. However, I strongly disagree with the suggestion that what you experienced was somehow lacking simply because every single element did not follow the exact format you had imagined. This experience is about much more than turning a handle, picking vegetables or following a recipe step by step. It is about opening our home and sharing a piece of our family, our land and the knowledge passed down to me by my grandmother. Knowing that this was not fully appreciated is, quite frankly, deeply disappointing and very sad for me. We put our heart, our history and an enormous amount of care into welcoming every person who comes through our door. This is not a staged cooking school. It is our home, our family and our tradition and that distinction means everything to us.

Best night of our Trip!
This night was a highlight of our entire trip! Emily and her family are absolutely lovey and taught us so much so quickly. It's an easy taxi ride from Positano and they can help you with transportation if needed. Their home is absolutely beautiful and they did a great job of making everyone comfortable. The class was fun, engaging, and we learned so much! And come ready to eat. Everything is delicious!

Best Cooking Class!
This cooking class was the most fun we had our entire trip! Emily was a great host and showed us how to make two different types of pasta as well as tiramisu. She gave us the history of her family and shared her family recipes so we can try to recreate them. 10/10 experience!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Ravioli & Tagliatelle Cooking Class at a Local's Home in Positano cost?
+
Prices start at $177 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ravioli & Tagliatelle Cooking Class at a Local's Home in Positano take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Ravioli & Tagliatelle Cooking Class at a Local's Home in Positano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 167 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ravioli & Tagliatelle Cooking Class at a Local's Home in Positano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ravioli & Tagliatelle Cooking Class at a Local's Home in Positano suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ravioli & Tagliatelle Cooking Class at a Local's Home in Positano?
+
Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ravioli & Tagliatelle Cooking Class at a Local's Home in Positano start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
