Ports are the best!
So nice! Excellent value. Knowledgeable staff. We had so much fun tasting all the ports and meeting new friends. Our your guide Rafaela was so much fun and knowledgeable. She loved talking to us and answering our questions. (However annoying they were lol) Sergio at the Fonesca winery was amazing and obviously so studious. Definitely recommend if you want to spend the afternoon having a few drinks and enjoying your port.
Response from the operator: What better way to spend an afternoon in Porto than discovering great Port wines and making new friends along the way! We’re delighted you had so much fun on our small-group Port wine tour in Vila Nova de Gaia. Rafaela will love hearing that her knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to answer all your questions made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s also great to hear you enjoyed the different Port wine tastings and the experience at Fonseca. Combining the history of Port wine, visits to traditional cellars and plenty of tastings is exactly what this tour is all about. Thank you for highlighting the excellent value and for recommending EFun Tours. We hope to raise another glass with you next time you’re in Porto! 🍷🇵🇹

Enjoyable Tour
Tour last for roughly 3 hrs and visits 3 cellars in the Vila Nova de Gaia area of Porto Plenty of generous servings for the Port tastings. Small group makes it a better experience. Tour guide was pretty good, i can't remember her name.
Response from the operator: We’re glad you enjoyed discovering the world of Port wine with us in Vila Nova de Gaia! It’s great to hear that the small-group format, the three Port wine cellars and the generous selection of tastings made the experience enjoyable. Our Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 tastings is designed to offer a relaxed introduction to the history, flavours and traditions behind Porto’s most famous wine. Thank you as well for your feedback about the guide. We’re always looking for ways to make our tours even better, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. 22 persons is not a small group
Verry nice and competent guide. 22 persons is not a small group! Apart from us and an other couple, it was a big group: they came about 15 minutes to late (14:45), they didn’t apologise, were very loud.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback and for your kind words about our guide. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed that part of the experience. We would just like to clarify one point: there were 20 participants on this tour, which is also the maximum group size stated in our booking conditions. We are sorry that the delayed arrival of some participants affected your experience. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and will continue to do our best to ensure all our tours run as smoothly as possible.

Port Tastings
Like all of Porto this tour is both up hill and down. The Port houses are not the big ones and therefore really interesting to see how the small producers work. Very good but do have a good lunch before.
Response from the operator: Hello Susan! Thank you so much for your review, it means a lot to us! The Port Wine Tour is a really special opportunity to get to know the city of Vila Nova de Gaia with some great selected wines that we are very proud to share with you! We hope to see you soon for the next adventure!

Fantastic afternoon
Great walking tour with a well informed English speaking guide. The tastings were great too… Best advice is to eat well before you set off!
Response from the operator: Hello Simon, Thank you so much for your review! We are delighted that you enjoyed the Port Wine Tour with us! Yes, we agree with you, we warn the customers in our site to have a good lunch so the tour can go as smooth as possible :) See you soon!

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 524 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings?
+
Around 183 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Porto: Small-Group Port & Douro Wine Tour with 9 Tastings start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
