The tour was initially altered 1 day and then later canceled by the guide. We had to follow up and get info.

Cancelled by the guide service. We had been flexible to their first change by 1 day. Poor communication on the second day.

Response from the operator: Dear Mark, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by the changes and eventual cancellation of your tour. We especially regret that you had already been flexible and accommodated the initial change by one day, only to have the tour subsequently canceled. We also apologize for the poor communication and for the fact that you had to follow up yourself to obtain information. We understand how disappointing this is, particularly when you have planned your visit around a confirmed experience. We take your comments regarding communication very seriously. Guests should receive clear and timely information whenever there is a change to their booking, and we are sorry that we did not meet that standard in this instance. We sincerely regret that we were unable to provide you with the experience you had booked and hope you were still able to enjoy your time in Porto. Warm regards, Luka Destinations

    Good but not great

Luiz gave us what turned out to be a private tour of the Stock Exchange Palace and Sao Francisco Church. He gave us a lot of information and answered our many questions. 4 stars rather than 5– he started our tour by telling us that he would we would spend 40 to 50 minutes at the Stock Exchange and then a quick look at the church that would only take 10 minutes and we would be “out of there in an hour.” We felt like that would be shortchanging us, and let him know that was not our expectation. Towards the end of our tour, he was repeatedly checking his phone and eventually said he had to go to give another tour. We felt like we didn’t have his full attention or enthusiasm. His tour was just not at the 5 star level that we have come to expect from the many Viator tours we have taken.

Response from the operator: Dear Lynn, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you appreciated the private experience and that Luís was able to provide detailed information and answer your questions during the visit to Palácio da Bolsa and Igreja de São Francisco. At the same time, we sincerely apologize that the experience did not fully meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding the initial explanation of the tour timing and your impression that the visit might feel rushed. We also regret that the attention toward the end of the tour gave you the feeling that you did not have the guide’s full focus and enthusiasm throughout the experience. Your comments are extremely valuable to us, as we always strive to provide tours that feel engaging, attentive, and worthy of a 5-star experience from beginning to end. We will certainly take your feedback into consideration to improve both pacing and guest communication during our tours. Thank you again for your honesty and for choosing to tour with us. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an even better experience in the future. Warm regards, Luka Destinations

Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit take?

    +

Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Porto Stock Exchange Palace & Sao Francisco Church - Guided Visit start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
