An incredible introduction to Tanzania and Africa
My time in Likamba was truly unforgettable. Spending time with the visiting families and sharing stories of our travels were certainly among the highlights of my trip, as were the unique activities that I was able to participate in. We learned how to milk goats and also cows with some very impressive horns. I loved trying out Maasai beading and also being able to have dinner at a boma. Another awesome thing about the village we stayed at was that there was an amazing viewpoint overlooking Mount Meru. It was sometimes hidden amongst the clouds, but the views were fantastic nonetheless! And if you're looking for some nightlife, there's also a hip bar in the area. It only recently opened, too. I certainly wish I could have stayed longer. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, dear Gregory, for sharing your Village Stay experience in Likamba with us in such detail. The villagers are always truly delighted to share their Maasai beadwork skills with visitors. And you are right, the view of Mount Meru from the top of that hill is indeed wonderful.

Awesome experience and great value
I totally loved being in Likamba. When you think about everything that is included, accommodation, meals, and even the included activities, Kanga Homestay truly offers amazing value for money. On top of that, with the package you also get access to very affordable excluded activities, and in Likamba those really are local prices. And the best part is that at the same time you are doing something good for the community and supporting it directly.
Response from the operator: We thank you for your thoughtful review. The hosts were truly impressed by your cultural knowledge and the way you connected with the Maasai traditions. Your appreciation means a lot to us. On behalf of the host, our regional manager, the local coordinator, and the entire Kanga Homestay team, thank you for your kind words and for supporting us!
