Enjoy a glass of champagne as you set sail on your beautiful, large, comfortable and modern yacht. After a few hours of sailing on the Solent you anchor off the Isle of Wight for a delicious freshly prepared two-course meal, served on deck, and the opportunity for a swim! Afterwards there is more sailing as you head back to Lymington – getting involved as much as you wish – or just sitting back and relaxing! This is a great day out on your own, as a couple, or with a group of friends and family, clients and colleagues. If there are 8 or more people in your group you have an exclusive, private yacht to yourselves! What better way is there to celebrate a special occasion – a birthday, anniversary, stag or hen do, or even a wedding with a difference?

Great sail
Excellent experience. The skipper and his crewman could not do too much for us. The lunch was tasty. After lunch, a breeze got up and we reached a good rate of knots tacking back to Lymington. Exhilarating!

Great day on the Solent
Great experience. Relaxing. We were fortunate with amazing weather. A 2 course simple lunch is included and they ask you to order your own bottle of wine from Solent Cellars (payable separately) which is then delivered to the yacht fridge. We were allowed to take the helm and stop off for a quick dip. Thoroughly recommend

Perfect summer's day sail
Well we certainly picked a glorious day for lunch on the Solent. Everything ran smoothly once we arrived in Lymington, from the meet and greet with Alice to the fabulous crew, Gary & Jocelyn who made sure we were safe but also entertained us with great stories of life on the sea. You could learn as little or as much of the sailing as you wanted, take the wheel if you fancied. A delicious lunch was served in a perfect summer time spot! A great mid week escape from life's busyness. Definitely do again. Thanks to Escape Yachting for a fabulous day.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your excellent 5 star review! We are very grateful for your kind and positive feedback and recommendation. We look forward to welcoming you back on board one day!

Why this scores 86
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Southampton.
How much does Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner cost?
+
Prices start at $216 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Southampton usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner take?
+
Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Southampton is not rushed.
Is Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 248 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Southampton, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner?
+
Around 87 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Southampton can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Southampton and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxury Sailing Experience Day with Champagne and Lunch or Dinner start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Southampton within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Southampton?
+
On Outty we rank every Southampton experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Journey Through Winchester's Past, Walk the Secrets of the Titanic, New Forest E-Bike Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Southampton?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Southampton?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
