What you'll see and do
Bibury
Our first stop is in the delightful village of Bibury with its famous collection of houses known as Arlington Row. After meeting your friendly driver and expert guide in Southampton, please take your seats on our luxury coach as we depart northwards into the delightful and much loved Cotswold region of England, famous for its honey coloured stone villages and leafy valleys. Your local guide has a wealth of information about this beautiful part of the world. Learn of the wool trade and how it played an important role in the shaping of the history of the area, and hear how the regions decline as a cloth producer saw the Cotswolds become a sleepy backwater, frozen in time.
25 minutes here
Burford
We then drive along meandering lanes and rolling hills to the beautiful village of Burford, where the ancient stone cottages seem to cascade down to the River Windrush. After a guided walk through the town to see the ancient church of St John the Baptist, we will enter a traditional Cotswolds tavern, built in 1402, for a classic pub lunch.
115 minutes here
Oxford
After our lunch in Burford, we head on to the historic city of Oxford. Here, your guide will provide you with an hour long walking tour of some of the city's most famous university buildings, cloisters and quadrangles, including entry to the Divinity School, the oldest original purpose-built structure of the university. You'll also have the chance to see the Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Camera. After the tour, enjoy an hour of free time to explore at your own leisure before returning to the coach to finish the day with a drop off at your designated address in London or Heathrow.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Southampton.
How much does Southampton to London via Cotswold Villages, Oxford & Pub Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $193 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Southampton usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Southampton to London via Cotswold Villages, Oxford & Pub Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 10.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Southampton is not rushed.
Is Southampton to London via Cotswold Villages, Oxford & Pub Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Southampton, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Southampton to London via Cotswold Villages, Oxford & Pub Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Southampton to London via Cotswold Villages, Oxford & Pub Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Southampton to London via Cotswold Villages, Oxford & Pub Lunch?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Southampton can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Southampton and add a light layer if any part of the 10.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Southampton to London via Cotswold Villages, Oxford & Pub Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Southampton within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Southampton?
+
On Outty we rank every Southampton experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Journey Through Winchester's Past, Walk the Secrets of the Titanic, New Forest E-Bike Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Southampton?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Southampton?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
