Great private trip to Capri!
Just want to take a moment to say that Positano Boats is a great tour operator. I made inquiries w/ a bunch of options but Paola was extremely responsive via email and clear about the details and cost. We booked a full-day private tour to Capri from Praiano on the brand new Zeus boat (amazing vessel) w/ Franco who was an excellent, knowledgable, safe skipper. We had a max capacity inter generational family so a lot of opinions and preferences to handle and Franco took it all in stride. We stopped briefly in Li Galli for photos before moving fast to Capri where we went counterclockwise around the island, stopping for a great swim past Marina Grande where it was safe for the kids (there can be a lot of traffic and many not-so-qualified captains to content w/) and then past Blue Grotto which as Franco said was hilariously overcrowded to the south side of the island where we saw the much chiller grottos before stopping at our main destination, Marina Piccola, for lunch which was simply amazing. Could have hung out there for days. Franco made arrangement w/ the restaurant to take us ashore where we ate, swam, and explored before heading to the Faragolini for group photos. The boats was big and fast with a large swim platform and actual side decks which made it easy for kids and grandparents to move around safely. Plenty of drinks for the long, hot day and not cheap but you get what you pay for and the I think they provide a great value overall. If you’re going to the Amalfi coast I recommend spending a bit to get away from the crowds in town and seeing some incredible things only accessible via the water.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you and your family had such a memorable day exploring Capri and that the experience met your expectations. Your kind words about Paola and Franco mean a great deal to us. We will be sure to share your compliments with them—they will be thrilled to know they helped make your day so special. Thank you for recommending us. We hope to welcome you and your family on board again for another unforgettable experience on the Amalfi Coast. - Positano Boats Team

Two Days, Two Private Tours, One Unforgettable Anniversary
Our experience with Positano Boats was absolutely amazing. My husband and I booked two private tours with them—one along the Amalfi Coast and another around Capri—as part of our 25th wedding anniversary celebration, and both experiences exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding from the very beginning. Paula was incredibly helpful from our first email exchange, providing detailed information about the tours and the boats, and even assisting us with reservations at two special restaurants for lunch. Those recommendations truly completed our days and made our anniversary celebration even more memorable. Our captain, Francesco, was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to share interesting information about the stunning sights and landmarks we passed along the way. He prepared delicious appetizers for us and, of course, made sure we enjoyed some authentic limoncello! Francesco was also very attentive and happy to help us capture memories from our trip. He took several lovely photos of us during the tours, including a beautiful shot with the Faraglioni in the background that we will treasure for years to come. Everything was handled with great professionalism and attention to detail. We highly recommend Positano Boats to anyone looking for an exclusive and unforgettable experience on the Amalfi Coast and in Capri. And who knows—you might be as lucky as we were and receive a complimentary boat upgrade too! Thank you, Paula and Francesco, for helping make our anniversary celebration so special.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review and for choosing us to celebrate your 25th wedding anniversary with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed both your Amalfi Coast and Capri tours. Your kind words about Paula’s assistance and Francesco’s hospitality mean a great deal to us. We’re especially happy that the memories and photos from your time on board will be treasured for years to come. Thank you for your recommendation. It was a pleasure being part of such a special occasion, and we hope to welcome you back again soon. - Positano Boats Team

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Luxury Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour from Positano cost?
+

How long does Luxury Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour from Positano take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Luxury Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour from Positano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxury Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour from Positano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Luxury Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour from Positano suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxury Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour from Positano?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxury Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour from Positano start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
