What you get

    About this experience

For anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast and wanting to discover another side of the Divine Coast, this will be an experience to live where with the simplicity and authenticity of the past we will revive the true flavors and history of our roots that are linked to the land and the hard work done with passion. Everything is done with love that is passed down from our grandparents. Come and discover Positano from the workers' side, we have no luxury, we do not have a whirlpool bath but only a lot of passion for healthy eating with the perfect mix of eating in a natural setting similar to an amphitheater in my town Montepertuso. Before tasting our products we will take a nice walk to discover this village of Positano with many legends and incredible stories. I await you with open arms... "the family where you are born is sacred but the family you meet during your life enriches you"... you will be part of my family.

    Not the Usual Tourist Experience-Better!

This was not your typical standard tourist activity. I wasn’t sure about reaching, the meeting point from our hotel as we didn’t have a car and we were concerned about the possibility of walking at night on steep streets that are not always well marked. I contacted Franco via What’s App. He responded immediately and said he would pick us up at the hotel and drop us off there. The first part of the experience was a hike along the Path of the Gods trail. This is not for the faint of heart as it can be steep with some rocky slopes! The scenery was spectacular and Franco, as a guide was a wealth of information on the flora and fauna of the area, pointing out the herbs and plants along the way. With our appetite now high, we returned to his home, a small generational farm in the same form it was probably in more than 100 years ago up in the hillside of Montepertuso. He showed us the small cave where they made capracole and aged it, and the wine the family makes each year using the old ways. We ate on the family upper patio with a view of the sea (and the local soccer field!). Try not to eat during the day, because Angela outdid herself with multiple courses of food made from their produce! We had Fiori di Latte mozzarella with wonderful sweet tomatoes, a pasta e fagioli, fusili with pumpkin, grilled peppers, capacola from their livestock and prepared by them, eggplant parmesan, two types of meatballs, tiramasu, homemade wine and I have probably forgotten some! There was a point where we could eat no more! After the meal, Franco and Angela joined us, we had more wine and talked about our families, life in Italy and the US. It was like talking with family and old friends. After, Angela made us a care package of food to take with us and they both accompanied us back to the hotel. If you are looking for a genuine experience, this is the place. This was such a personal experience with just the two of us and Franco and Angelo. It was just what we were looking for to remember this trip!

Response from the operator: Dear Jean and Jim , We're so glad you enjoyed your experience. We're so happy we could make for you an unforgettable evening. Now you are part from our family , We hope to see you again soon for live another special experience together like a family. Big hugs Franco & Angela

    Best food in Italy

My boyfriend and I were spoiled during this meal. It was a 10/10 must do. They prepared so much good food it was better than even the expensive restaurants we ate in Italy. Nonna Colomba is a MUST DO!!

If you visit anywhere on the Amalfi Coast, Nonna Colomba is a MUST DO!! Franco is an expert hiking guide and Forest Ranger who will take you up the mountain to a geological marvel, explaining every step of the way. Then, he and Angela will provide a true Italian feast in his home, overlooking the famous Positano landscape. The food is all homemade and outstanding. Really, I cannot recommend this experience enough; it is a must-do!

Response from the operator: Dear Paul and family, we are incredibly grateful for your 5-star review. We really appreciate that you booked this experience, as our first guests we can say now you and your family are a part from my family. We are happy that you enjoyed a wonderful afternoon and evening with me and my family. Thank you. Hugs from Positano warm regards Franco & Angela

Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.

How much does Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.

Is Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mediterranean Dinner in Positano at Nonna Colomba's Cellar start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Positano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Positano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
