About this experience
Welcome to La Vigna degli Dei, our family farm above the Amalfi Coast. This hands-on experience invites you to discover where food truly comes from by taking part in real farm life. Begin with a walk around the farm to meet the animals and learn about daily life here. You’ll then assist in milking the cow, guided step by step — no experience needed. The milk you collect will be used to make fresh mozzarella. Back in the kitchen, you’ll learn how to prepare traditional Fior di Latte mozzarella, following the full process. While the mozzarella rests, Rosanna will show you how to make handmade gnocchi using simple, traditional techniques. During the experience, you’ll taste Pasquale’s homemade organic wine and visit the cellar where it’s produced. To finish, prepare tiramisù and choose between the classic version or a lemon tiramisù made with homemade limoncello. Finally, enjoy the food you helped prepare, along with wine, in a relaxed farmhouse setting.

What you'll see and do
Agerola
During this experience you'll be able to immerse yourself in my family long time history as Wine producer, visit our ancient cellar and partecipate to a "fior di latte" Mozzarella Workshop. It will be my pleasure welcoming you with a cup of coffee before visiting our vineyard overlooking the village. The wine tasting will take place in our ancient cellar where we keep our organic Catalanesca white and Aglianico red wine produced from the grapes grown in our own vineyards. I will be pleased to explain the origin of our grapes, the methods of production and offer you white and red wine to try in combination with a selection of the organic goat cheese, salame, pancetta and coppa ham produced in our farm. Now it's time to make Mozzarella: we will show you how to make it and, equally importantly, we will eat and enjoy it all together. This experience also includes a pice of local cake and limoncello. All the food will accompanied with our own organic extra virgin olive oil.

The best Italian cooking experience
We absolutely loved learning to make gnocchi, tiramisu and fior de latte with Pasquale in his beautiful farmhouse. Fresh ingredients and a small group size of about 12 meant we had lots of time to ask questions and feel relaxed. We even got to spend some time with the farm animals and learning to milk was a fun experience. So happy that we came and even made friends whilst there

Best experience ever
This is one of the best experiences we have done on our travels. Pasquale and Rosanna are fantastic hosts and teachers - you feel right at home and welcome in their kitchen, house and gardens. The setting is idyllic, making the food was fun and easy. We ate outside on a beautiful day — and we even got to walk the animals. We had 5 teenagers with us who were just as enamored with this day as we were. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!!

Best experience ever. Must do thing in Italy
I was very grateful to share this experience with my mum. The family are truly incredible and so welcoming. I would recommend this experience to anyone. Plus you don’t get to say I walked and milked a cow every day let alone produce products form it. I would happily fly all the way back just to do it all over again the food was incredible. No where in the world have I found a place that I can say feels like my home away from home but this place and the people where definitely that! If you don’t end up doing this course the other is also incredibly, we did both as we just had to come back for me. (Just to show how much we loved it we ended up staying the night and also doing the journey twice to get there each time taking 3 hours to get there and another 3 to get back. But I would do it all again in a hart beat). Thank you so much for having us you guys are truly amazing and incredible people.

The highlight of our three weeks in Italy
Outstanding. If you want to experience some of the best food you will ever eat in Italy then go here. The class was small and the hosts were so lovely and genuinely put all their love into what they do.If you can stay the night here then do there are incredible hikes or walks in the doorstep and the rooms were comfy. The breakfast outstanding. They also do pasta courses which we also did and loved that too. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience really Italy and delicious food!!!

Wonderful, delicious & unique!
This is one of our best experiences in Italy so far! We stayed in another hotel in Agerola and discovered this place by coincidence while walking one evening . We came in to see and the owner Pasquale invited us for a drink and told us about the cooking experience happening next day which we gladly attended! There is everything in the garden from the entrance! - vegetables, fruits, grapes, spices so believe it everything is prepared from their one production and fresh!! Pasquale showed us how to make traditional gnocchi from the region and we were also able to participate! Next he showed us the wonderful regional Fior di latte cheese process and let us taste it with tomato and basil inside of a cheese ball - and it was so delicious I kept asking for more! Once gnocchi was cooked, Pasquale wife prepared tomato sauce and we all got to eat this spectacular & delicious dish! During the time we also tasted their local wines and at the finale received freshly made tiramisu ! This experience was truly unique, wonderful and with food better than any other restaurant we eat before! You can also wine and dine at this place without booking a class, but if you have time book both as it it truly worth it and will be a highlight of your trip in the Amalfi coast! Do not eat in restaurants downtown, and make an effort to come up to the beautiful, picturesque Agerola !

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Milk the Cow & Make Mozzarella and Gnocchi with Our Family start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
