Yes, you should book London History Taxi Tours!
My mother and I took a full day tour with Billy as our guide, and truly, we both agree it was some of the best money we spent on our two-week European vacation. Billy was easy to communicate with before the trip, and I let him know what we already had booked to see on other days, and what the things we felt we couldn't miss with him were, and he tailored the trip to us. We went on a very hot day (94F that day!) and he made sure my mother and I were always comfortable, especially as she has some mobility limits. He was so kind and made sure we did everything we wanted to without pushing mom's limitations, and gave me time to hop out and do the photos he knew we'd want, as well as taking photos for us. We really enjoyed spending time with Billy and getting to know him a bit as a person, he's really interesting to talk to, and really knows his history! We got as much deep history and knowledge as you could ask for, it was EXACTLY what we were hoping for when we booked London History Taxi Tours. Not only did we feel like we got a comprehensive tour of the major sights of London, but we also got a good understanding behind the context of what we were seeing. He wasn't just driving us to places, he would stop and often do a couple of minutes of history and context. I honestly couldn't recommend Billy enough. If you want to really understand London and NOT just have someone drive you somewhere and point out a building then drive to the next location, you want to do a tour with Billy.

Loved this day!
, Our family of four (all adults now, 64 years - 26 years), had a fantastic experience. Billy was engaging and informative and tailored our tour to complement our previous knowledge of London. It was the best day of our trip. Highly recommended.

This was a great start for our family trip! Our guide excellent and in addition to giving us all the history he gave us great insider tips and great photos of the whole family. I highly recommend this tour, it’s worthy every penny!

À plus tour
We booked this tour with friends who were in London for the first time. Billy was fabulous. Full of knowledge, funny and extremely accommodating. Every stop was a history lesson. We saw so much and loved every minute. He also took great photos and sent them to us.

Unforgettable London taxi tour! - Billy was amazing
We booked this London taxi tour as a special Christmas and birthday gift for my mum, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip — every single one of us thoroughly loved it. Billy was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge of London is incredible, and he has a brilliant way of mixing the must-see landmarks with fascinating places and stories you’d never think to find on your own. It felt personal, relaxed, and really well paced — never rushed, but packed with interesting sights and insights. On top of that, Billy went above and beyond by taking some amazing photos of us along the way, letting mum sit in the cab which was such a lovely touch. We honestly can’t recommend this tour enough.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
London History Taxi Tours: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does London History Taxi Tours cost?
+
Prices start at $507 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does London History Taxi Tours take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is London History Taxi Tours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule London History Taxi Tours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is London History Taxi Tours suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book London History Taxi Tours?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does London History Taxi Tours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
