Great guy but not great guide for groups

Ferran is a very nice guide and very knowledgeable. But he absolutely needs to use the wireless system. Otherwise, you can't hear him unless you're at his side and his English accent is enough to deal with. He won't wait for you to take pictures before he heads off to the next destination. When it's sunny and hot, he makes no effort to stay in the shade. Most of our group dropped out before the end.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your review. I understand your review and see what you mean, but I have to say you were unrespectful with the other person on the tour who wanted to hear all the information and had to wait for you to decide to come to hear the explanation. That’s why I started to explain without waiting for you to come as this is a guided tour and you can make fotos of course, but it’s not a photo tour where you can be doing photos the time you please. There’s other people on the tour and there’s a time scheduled (even though it was a very uncomfortable tour it was longer than usual due to the constant waiting for you and the other family). About the sun, I only stayed for 30 seconds in the sun as I wanted to show you a concrete perspective of the Cathedral’s door. About my English accent you have to consider I’m not native, I’m local from Valencia and I’m anyway very proud of my English accent. Also it’s important to say only one group left the tour before the end and they were not interested in it even before starting as they thought it was a bus tour. I think it’s important to have respect for someone’s job, anyway I’m sure there’s things I could improve from my side and I’m open to that. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay.

    Excellent introduction...

Excellent introduction and welcome to Valencia. This tour is a great way to get familiar with the old part of the city. Ferran was an amazing tour guide and it’s clear that he is both very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the city which adds a lot of depth to the walking tour. He is incredibly friendly and the laid back nature of the tour was a great way to get to know more about the city. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I’m really glad you enjoyed the tour. It was a pleasure sharing the history and stories of the city with you, and I’m especially happy that my passion for Valencia was shown. I truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation. I hope ypu enjoyed the rest of your stay :)

    The once was very good...

The tour was very good and the guide, Ferron, was very informative. He even made suggestions for things we might want to consider seeing outside of the tour.

Response from the operator: I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and also it was useful for the rest of your stay, that's the idea. Thank you so much! :)

Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Valencia.

How much does Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia cost?

    +

Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Valencia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Valencia is not rushed.

Is Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Valencia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Valencia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Valencia and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guided Tour of the Historic Center of Valencia start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Valencia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Valencia?

    +

On Outty we rank every Valencia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Valencia Bike Tour from the City to the Beach, plus Bike Guy App!, Paella Cooking Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia, Real Paella Cooking Class – Market Visit & Sangría Workshop. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Valencia?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Valencia?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
