A fun-filled day with Phish & friends
Had a fun filled day with Phish! Great vibes, great scenes and great company. Went to the Cape Coast castle, Kakum National Park & Hand Cottage Botel. Cape Coast castle was a particular highlight, although emotionally intense. Our tour guide was fantastic, explained everything in great detail and made the experience engaging. The lunch we had was delicious and by the beach! Honestly a fantastic day out in Ghana would highly recommend.

A wonderful tour full of meaningful history and beautiful nature.
It truely was an amazing day which was an emotionally and physically intense experience with great people, a lot of knowledge, an incredible view and good food. To be at Cape Coast Castle, seeing and not only hearing the story of our ancestors was very real. We walked through the tunnel and touched the dungeon walls and we walked through the door of 'no return'. The tour through the castle was packed with infos and insights which was humbling and of course sad but meaningful. There was a lot my friend and I talked about afterwards and I still hold this experience close to my heart. Afterwards the driver took us to one of his favorite outlook points on an old tower which offered a beautiful view along the cost all the way to the Elmina Castle. The Kakum National Park is just beautiful. After a 40min hike (be prepared to sweat and wear comfy solid shoes) we reached the Canopy Walk. OMG I was not sure if I was going to get on it but I am m ore than happy that I did. The bridges wear stable and solid and it offered an incredible view. Even the air up there was amazing. You could hear all the different animals in the trees below and it was a very peaceful atmosphere. Exactly what I needed. I am so happy that I booked this tour with mooove, the sorted locations were in credible and the hospitality and just overall the organisation made us feel welcome and at home. I left feeling like I really got to know a real part of Ghana. And I def caught a Ghana bug :) When you book make sure to take it all in and enjoy all the little things that you will experience while your on the road with them.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Accra.
How much does Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $190 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Accra usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Accra is not rushed.
Is Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Accra, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Accra can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Accra and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Experience Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Accra within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Accra?
+
On Outty we rank every Accra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle & Kakum National Park Day Tour, Experience the Beauty, History and the Culture Of Accra in a Day, Accra Guided City Tour Cultural and Historical Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Accra?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Accra?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
